Way back when the Westward Ho had some of the best slot tourments in Vegas.
Where are the good ones now, especially in the Downtown Casinos ?
    Thanks

My guess in the lack of responses is most people are "committed" to one of the rewards card companies, so we/they are unsure about how all the tourneys work with all the companies. Thus, no accurate comparison can be made to what's really good and what's not.

No... I think the lack of response is because nobody has anything to reply with.

I am not 100% certain but I am thinking that El Cortez might be the only one left in the Downtown/Las Vegas Strip area that still has any kind of regular slot tournament thats open to the public.

Otherwise, whats out there are the invite tournaments. The MGM resorts, Wynn/Encore, Venetian/Palazzo and CET properties all have them from time to time but in many cases they are invite only so its not really a case of how good or how bad they are but just "do you have an invite or not?" And for these that do allow public entry for a fee the casinos usually don't advertise them much beyond the property itself.

Hi. I attend 4 Tournaments @ Bellagio, 4@ Mirage, and 5 @ Mandalay Bay per year. I am Noir, and they are Invite Only. Top prizes range from 35K to 250K. They are the best in Vegas...especially the Bellagio Tournaments. Fine food, suites, and a great chance to win....usually 1 in 250 odds of the top prize.

I've heard on here that Margaritaville has a free tourney over the weekends. The Quad has one weekdays 11a-2p, but you need to earn 10 Tier points ($50 coin-in on a slot/$100 coin-in on video poker).

The Boyd downtown group has free tournaments by invitation. MSS has a daily slot tournament that costs 10 dollars for B connected card holders or 15 dollars without the card. There are two sessions before and two after lunch with the finals at 4 PM. There are not too many participants so the best bet is to enter the session just before the finals at 4 PM.

    Downtown Slot tourneys

Just for clarification, since I live/play downtown....

The El Cortez tourney is daily...you get a free entry a week if you are a Sapphire member or above, or if you've earned 500 points the day before.

The Plaza tourney is 1 entry per 100 points that day ($300 coin in) up to 4 entries for $1200 coin in. You get a free entry a week if you're a king or ace member.

Anyone know of any decent slot tourney deals otherwise, strip or a bar offstrip?

Gold coast is a VP one for 100 players card points earned the same day and I think it's on Saturday but check their web site

M resorts is a VP one for 250 points same day on Thursday's.

    Good luck
