Aria standard rooms are very nice.

Vdara is described as a suite (separate living area) and has kitchen facilities. It is also non smoking, non gaming.

Signature is close to the Strip, but a pain to walk to/from. Also non smoking, non gaming.

Mandalay Bay is large, with ok standard rooms (least nice of all your choices IMO). On the Strip, but at the very far end.

I would choose Aria for location and room choice. It has lots of higher end dining choices, but a very short stroll to Monte Carlo for cheaper fast food. If you get to know the short cuts, Aria/Vdara are best for central Strip access.

If you're talking about the cheapest room in each, I would say (based on the room alone) Vdara > Aria > The Signature > Mandalay Bay.

I love that Vdara is quiet at the end of the night but has easy access to Aria/Bellagio for gaming. (not to mention if you park at either Bellagio or Aria, you walk right by JP on the way to Vdara so you can snag a gelato before bed. I also like having the fridge at Vdara, which doesn't come in the basic rooms at Aria or Mandalay Bay. It gets the nod over Aria because of the kitchen/living room area with the fridge. If you like having the action "right there" (as opposed to a couple hundred feet away), pick Aria over Vdara.

The Signature is just too much of a pain to get to for me and I'm not a huge fan of MGM's casino. While Mandalay Bay is too far removed from the heart of the strip for some, I mainly stick to south strip and I enjoy gaming at MB. So much so that it's become my home base, which is why my personal preferences is Mandalay Bay > Vdara > Aria > The Signature. (However I usually pick Aria over Vdara because I can get the rooms for cheaper at Aria).

That said, it's really wherever the GF wants to stay at the time. Oddly sometimes she will choose Luxor over Aria, go figure.

You will find these discussions often. Scroll down a few pages and look for post about rooms. (by the way, it helps you if you include more in your subject line).

As to the question. I notice you picked only MGM properties? Do you have an comp dollars or potential?

Where have you stayed in the past and like?

    Is suite important?

You mention access to the strip. Depending on which part of the strip, the answer will be different. Vdara via Bellagio can work. Or Vdara down alongside Cosmo. There was a recent discussion about that.

Of the 4 you mentioned, I tend to favor M-Bay. But, that is not close to the main strip at all, but is all the way at one end. The place just offers more meal options, walking, etc.

But, it depends on what is important to you. Help us help you.

I think you would like Aria the best, then walk over to Bellagio or where ever from there.

Have you looked at Paris? Nice, above average, but not fancy rooms at a good price. Have you played at all with CET? If you log in check rates, you might be surprised. And do NOT, repeat, do NOT only check offers.

It's pretty easy to get to the south or central strip from either aria or vdara. My personal favorite is vdara, but really either one is pretty awesome. Sign up on their websites for regular discounted offers. Aria has a much better pool area, if you're interested in that.

If you're going to have a car and plan to drive places signature might be an option, but its slightly off the beaten path.

I really like the whole Mandalay complex, but its too far south for me, ymmv.

Vdara is going to be bigger.. but the basic room isn't HUGE or anything. Both are similar in quality. Aria has amenities though, Vdara's are limited.. They are literally steps away from each other. Both have easy strip access. Honestly, just a matter of opinion... If given the choice I'd pick Aria, because they have a casino and restaurants.

Mandalay is great, but with Mandalay and Signature they aren't in great locations, if you are looking for easy access you won't find it at either of those places.

Of those, aria has the nicest rooms, but Mandalay bay is the closest to the Strip. All the others are a bit of a hike to get to the Strip

I agree that Aria is definitely nice. I like it because it's kind of set back from the strip some, at least enough to where it's not as crowded from everyone walking down the strip coming in to check out the place like you can get at some of the other properties.

I've stayed there and the rooms are modern and comfortable, but as heather above said, it's really just going to come down to what you like.

Aria has the casino and all the restaurants whereas Vdara you will have to walk a little more for gambling / food, but really not that much. Both hotels are situated basically in the middle of the strip so you have great access to everything around you. Mandalay is nice as well, I've only stayed at The Hotel though so i can't comment on Mandalya's rooms, but The Hotel was very nice. However, you are at the far end of the strip and you'll be looking at a fairly decent walk to get to the other casinos.

Okay... having a car can make a difference.

CET is Caesars properties - Paris, Harrahs, Ballys, P-Ho,etc.

You will find that most people are against booking a package and book direct with hotel.

    Your mileage will vary.
