    I'm on the fence here..

Please sell me on a steakhouse for my wife and I.

    CRAFTSTEAK @ MGM
    PRIME @ BELLAGIO
    SW @ WYNN

Price is not an issue for this dinner. Although I'd guess Prime would cost the most.
We've been to Craftsteak and we were VERY happy! I'd be happy to return there and experience that dinner again.
..but how about Prime and SW? Would you rate them better?

I'm mainly looking for 3 things..
A damn fine steak, EXCELLENT service and a top notch romantic vibe (dim lights, fancy decor etc..) to wow my wife!

Who stands out above the rest? I know Craftsteak nails the steak. Prime looks pretty nice in terms of decor (possible fountain views?) and I can't really tell what SW is all about. We'll be there when it's very cold so outdoor seating is not an option.

I'd love to hear any first hand info or insight out there. Throw it at me....

We had dinner at Prime this past weekend and it was the best meal I had in a long time. Hubby said his steak was the best he ever had... Cant go wrong with this place, the decor is beautiful and atmosphere is wonderful. It is definately more upscale than Craftsteak in my opinion, especially since you have to take the escalator down to get to it. Away from all the hustle.

I don't think Prime costs more than the other 2. If anything Craftsteak has the most expensive item on any of those menus with the A5 Wagyu tasting.

for romance, Prime can't be beat with the décor and fountain view. Craftsteak is hopping and vibrant, not romantic at all.

If you want a romantic atmosphere with dim lighting as you say, Prime is the best choice of the three. All are fantastic, but Prime is the clear choice for a quieter, romantic dinner.

I would go to a new place since you tried craftsteak already. While Prime is a really good choice i still cant pick it over SW who is the best steakhouse in Vegas imo. The food, atmosphere and service is just excellent. Also if possible get a table overlooking the lake of dreams.

Another vote for SW by the lake. Very romantic and possibly the best service I've ever had.

What are the chances the outdoor patio at SW will be open in mid-November? Looks fantastic

When I called for my October 28 reservation, I requested the patio. She said it would depend on weather on whether it would be open or not.

    Prime

the best steak I ever had was at the prime. It was so tender, you didnt need a knife to cut it. Craftsteak was very good also.

    Thanks everyone!

Craftsteak is out. I'm stuck between SW & Prime and leaning a little more towards Prime. Tough choice....

Prime is my all time favorite dining experience. SW is a close second. I had the bone-in filet at Prime the other night and if you had to choose between it and sex, you'd still choose sex, but it may take you a minute or two more to decide. :)

Definitely have some coffee for desert. As Jules Winfield would say, it is some SERIOUS gourmet shit!

Well, I am thinking sex first, then dinner at Prime. After all, you can just go ten minutes later.

I have eaten at both Prime and SW. Prime was very good but greatly prefer SW by the lake if possible. The food and service are over the top. As an example, it was a bit chilly when we were lakeside and the staff brought my wife and sister in-law wraps that they had on had, they even matched their outfits.
