    Aloha!

Does anyone know if there is any way to avoid a long wait at Marquee? My friends and I (3 girls and 3 guys) were planning on going to see Armin on Friday, October 11 and I was wondering if anyone had the hookup or info to skip the line or if there's a guestlist.

Any input would help, thanks for looking!

you can put your name on the guestlist on the website http://www.marqueelasvegas.com/guest-list/

my buddy and i were on the guestlist for marquee but didnt go,we went to hakassan two nights and we put our name on the guestlist for the first night. the wait for our line was not too long, the next night we were with girls and we had to wait a little longer actually but not bad and we werent on a guestlist. if you buy a table its diffrent and they asked us when we were in line if we wanted to buy a table. if we said yes we would go right in they said. if you go early or late there is also a shorter wait.

but since you have a big group you might think about a table becaus i will say that hakassan was not too much fun trying to get drinks at the bar and it was crowded with guys. maybe 4 guys for every 1 girl, so the girls in your group might feel weird.

Pre sale tickets is a guarantee and usually quicker entry. If you decide to do bottle service the host we used for Marquee was:

    Cliff Orr - 586.489.4531 - [email protected]

May want to ask him about a guest list. Don't know what the tip structure is for guest list but tix that night are $20 for women $50 for guys.

Very well connected at the other clubs as his brother Joey works for 1Oak and I believe the Light Group.

    Hope his helps

Have the girls contact a promoter to get on the Guestlist. and join them. The guys will still have to pay but at least you get the girls in. Be there at 10pm though. It's easier to deal with the GL line. Private Message me. I have a friend who works there that you can contact.

I'll actually be at Marquee that Friday and Saturday too.

I have never seen guys at $30-40 at Marquee, always $50. I got in for free on a Friday night for Cosmic Gate for being a hotel guest. You have to be there before 12 though I am sure, as a guest. I could tell the pain on their faces letting in a guy for free (without table service).

Go to JackColton.com and you will find some names on the forum of who to text. With 3 guys, 3 girls - the girls will all get in free and the guys will have to pay.

For Armin, I doubt there will be ANY free guy entry. He may not be as mainstream popular as Calvin Harris or Avicii, but he is better than both of them and probably the most popular worldwide.

Armin is the voted #1 DJ many times the past few years now. He's more trance so just depends on what style people like. Calvin tends to be more electro house. Avicii, seems to be all over the place. lol.

$50 is pretty much standard at Marquee on Fri and Sat. Theres the occasional $30-40 which depends on the DJs.

    Mondays are lower, usually $30-40

I think you guys sometimes just to make your contacts more important or well known than the people I know. I have known most of these guys that are GM's of clubs, some of which I brought in and trained. I can assure you that when I say 30-40, that's what it will be. I actually get better than that, I can work limo into that for just a little more. Funny thing is I can do entry for Tao, lavo and marquee for $40 for guys, so why cant I get one club.

Jack Colton has been around a while yes, but not nearly as long as I have. His site is knowledge, but its a reference to one host, that he works with at each clubs, and doesn't deal with all the clubs. also they sell advertising. I don't offer any advertising, I just try and give knowledge, and to get people the best deal possible, even if I cant help them. Mansion. oracle, wish, lets keep going with clubs most companies don't work with. I can sit here and tell you 50 hosting companies, 30 club crawl companies. I will hear something about this post but heres some truths about vegas and clubs.

you deal with a host that has been working in a club for a year or so, you can not get as good of a deal.
you can call the club directly, but still, they give your reservation to a new host that needs the table.
Hosts go from club to club because they raise their base or %
guestlists for most clubs are still a discretionary depending on hot factor of the ladies. the busy clubs don't offer guestlist for guys. unless you know upper management.

Armin is one of the top DJ's in the world and has been doing for years. Calvin Harris, most people wouldn't know who he was till AMG brought im to Vegas. Avicci and Steve Aoki are both great dj's. You have less than a handful of clubs that play anything else but EDM right now.

Everyone knows somebody in vegas, I don't disagree. Just cause you know somebody doesn't mean they will do something for someone else that they do for you, or that you pretend that they do for you. One guy commented on here how everytime he goes to vegas he gets comped bottles at any club he wants. Its funny, I just laugh at what everybody gets for free. If you get such good things, you should be in Vegas.

Well good sir, if you can help me out in mid November for some $40 entry into Marquee I would be much obliged :peace: I do prefer Marquee to XS because the hike to XS is a pain and I love the amount of bar space at Marquee.

One thing that I always wonder is why XS will usually allow guys in for $30 on Fri & Sat (minus MAJOR headliners/busy weekends) via guestlist/presale, and Marquee will charge $50 for even the shittiest name on a Fri & Sat for guestlist and presale. I have always assumed they are on an equal playing field in terms of quality

I used to not go to Marquee much, but a friend took over Director of Promotions and now im really a fan of Marquee. Marquee draws a bigger spendier crowd. how many guys, how many girls?

How do you know if they are a shitty DJ? Just curious. Maybe its not as well known to others but are actually known in the EDM scene.

Say like Ritchie Hawtin who is doing a late night set at Marquee at 3am to 5am, sometime in Oct. Guarantee that most Vegas club tourists wont know him. But he's old school House DJ and is one of the respected in the industry. Same with Carl Cox and other names who arent household names these days.
People are still willing to pay the $ since there are many that do know those DJs and will specifically go to that club to see that DJ.

I'm hoping you're not referring to me as far as trying to help in referring to hosts/promoters that I know. In no way am I trying to step in anyones business or give any wrong information. If anything I'm trying to share other info that you dont hear much on other forums like JackColton. I actually dont like the way people think on that forum often since many are just repeating how they think theyre getting deals but theyre actually getting swindeled at times.

Now people think its the norm to grease doorman all night long. I know tipping is part of the business and I'm sure you get part of your income through those means as well. I appreciate good service when provided but I dont agree with the whole "greasing" aka bribing to get past the door when in many times its not necessary.

Youre a great help and provide a good viewpoint from a different perspective.

Might need ya this Friday for Sapphire. LOL.

I don't grease anyone. I deal with club managers, I party with them, play poker with them or do limo service. Its about trade for what I do. Sometimes, some nights I cant get the best deal. I deal with weekend packages more than anything. I don't really like doing anything with entry, cause im truly not making a dime off of that. People can buy presale, or get on guestlist and think they are saving $10, or not waiting in line, but yet you can get in for free. Presale at any club is a waste of money and time. What people don't know is you can get all access to most nightclub management companies, but they don't advertise that. Why would a club promote all their clubs for $40, when people promote $50 for one club. I don't understand. Almost every club in town ladies can get in free, guys shouldn't pay more than $40, but $20 is average. Some places that promote $30, you can get in free.

Vegas is slow right now, till New Years. Halloween will pickup for that 9 day period, but will slow down.

    Sapphire is easy!!

I know what you're saying. I think the whole idea of how you can get in free in most cases is a little more complicated sounding than it seems.

Like you said, there are ways to get in thru certain people. But you can't tell that to every single person that wants to go to clubs in Vegas. First of all, most wont understand. They wont know the way to, would be skeptical of how its done, or would rather deal with it the easiest way possible IN their eyes.

Your in a position where you know the ins and outs of the industry so doing some of these things are natural and are comfortable for you. The way I see it when I suggest something is that this person has no idea at all of what to do. They are like deer in headlights when it comes to Vegas Nightlife.

Its not that there is anything wrong with the procedures you know of helping your VIP customers get in the clubs and places they want to go to, its the fact that people are easily wary of things they are not familiar with.
So saying your way is the best way to go,, a person has to compare if you want to risk that or just go direct and pay presale. A person not knowing the ins and outs, it seems like presale is less risky and much more for sure since you are direct with the venue. Thats the way I see it.

Its just an easier way to explain and assure people of a good experience. Not considering money spent or how much they could have saved.

Its like if someone kept asking you to get a hookup on 2 guys to get into a club to save them $20 each on entry fee. If you know you're really not making money from it, you would rather just say.. Dude just pay the $20. LOL.
Sometimes the easier route is better than trying to put the effort when you dont get anything out of it.

BTW... all friendly convo here Robert. NO disrespect or anything like regarding your views. :)

So did I goof buying presale tickets with my friends? It was $50 for males and $20 for females to see Armin on 10/11.

Just wondering what the best possible scenario would be too, because right now, the total count is now 3 girls and 5 guys. I'm not looking for the biggest hookup or anything, just if you guys can give my friends and I a way to skip a line or something.

Thank you all for helping this n00b!

No you did not goof. You did the safe thing to ensure you will see Armin that night at a price you felt was fair.
