If I have a twenty dollar dining coupon from one of their mailers and I don't use it all at one meal...will the remainder just be lost?

Yep ... no left-overs on using those mailer dining coupons. If you read the fine print at the bottom of your coupon, it states, "One time use only".

Yup, so plan accordingly to get the most bang for your buck(coupon).

Yup, use it or lose it. Last time I was solo with a $20 coupon and went to the MSS Buffet. It cost about $10 for my buffet, so I asked the cashier to apply the rest to the folks in line behind me. Cashier was able to do it no problem.

These are nice gestures to do. A guy was sitting at the bar at the Italian place in Biloxi at the IP. He had some $ left on his comp and bought my friend and I a glass of wine with his remainder. I have since "passed it on" a couple of times. Good Karma??

    I really like this place!

Ah...good to know. Thanks. I have only had ten dollars ones before so there was no danger of not using it all.

Not sure what kind of coupons you have (aloha coupons?) but you may be able to use the rest of your coupons at the Cal lanai ("fast" food restaurant located near the entrance facing binions). They have many items (caramel popcorn, poker card cookies, sushi, rolls, etc.) that you can buy to take home or eat during your stay. I think you can use them at the lanai area at the fremont also but many people say that the lanai food wasn't that great.

I am not sure what kind of coupons you have but many people staying at the downtown boyd properties get an "aloha" fun book with discount coupons for meals. They use the remaining coupons to purchase stuff at the Cal lanai. I love the caramel popcorn, yum.

All of the MSS & Cal "mailer offers" that I have seen with "dining" coupons, were only good at MSS and/or the Cal ... but never the Fremont.

I am guessing the MSS mailers with the dining credits are the same as the ones I get. This is verbage from the website that is also on the coupons.

Enjoy $10 in free dining during your stay. Present your mailer to the B Connected Club for redemption. Free Dining is valid in any of the following restaurants: Garden Court Buffet, Triple 7 Brewery, Redwood, Pasta Pirate, Market Street Cafe, and Cal Club.
    Valid at the following locations:

    California Hotel Casino
Main Street Station Casino Brewery Hotel

Right....it is just an ordinary mailing....it says nothing about "Aloha" on it.

I've always wondered how to get the "Aloha" funbooks...
My mailer is for 2-nights + $20 dining also (just go to players club at MSS and tell them to print your vouchers)

I've always received two $10 vouchers when redeeming the $20 offer at the players club. If that's not the case for you, you could ask for two $10 vouchers instead of one $20.

I used to always get the Aloha books with my offer before being downgraded to the $20 dinning offer. It's been my understanding that these books are provided to the guests flying in on a package deal from Hawaii.

My understanding is that the offers are based on your ADT. If you look at your mailed brochure, there is a 7 digits letter/numeral code that starts with a letter and ends with a letter. The first letter signifies the property: B=California, E=Fremont, G=MSS. That series ends with a letter. So far, I have identified that the letters can be from A to K. The last letter determines your level of play with “A” being the highest and probably awarded the Gold Card on arrival.

Those with the letter “C” come with offers that include a complimentary four night stay with free meals. If not given a Silver Card, then they are given the Aloha Coupon Book. The Silver/Gold cards can only be authorized by a host. The Gold/Silver Cards or the Aloha Coupon books are given on arrival at the Front Desk. The cards and Aloha Coupon books are good at all three downtown Boyd casinos.

While it is true that guests flying on Boyds’ Vacations Hawaii package deals are provided with an Aloha Coupon book, independent travelers can also qualify for the awards. Those with letters ending below the letter “C” would be awarded free rooms, meal amounts and slot dollars depending on their level of play.

Ah, sorry blondie, guess I never received that offer before (I play craps so I don't qualify for comps much). thanks for the info chifan. Your offer does say that you can use the coupon at the Cal club (downstairs) so you can buy the things I mentioned before you leave if you have an extra $10 coupon.

Thanks for the info John also. I haven't received an offer from boyd in years, guess my play doesn't warrant offers.

btw, people can also buy the meal package with their boyd hotel room and they get the aloha coupon book also. Not sure how much they pay for the meal package but it is the standard aloha booklet with 3 meals a day.
