I know all about CET/Mlife comp systems, but have been spending more and more time downtown so I want to learn about the Boyd comp system.

I enjoy playing at Fremont and MSS and have been getting 3 night comp offers with dining credits at MSS for awhile. I am finally using one next week.

I had planned to spend a couple hours at Suncoast, Sam's Town, Gold Coast, and the Orleans, in addition to my play downtown. Does Boyd (MSS in this case) look at this negatively because I am all over the place and they want me to stay in-house? Or do they add it all up like other places since I am still playing within the same player's club?

I hope that makes sense. Just want to make sure I play the "comp game" correctly with Boyd.

    MSS won't care...
    Boyd is weird like that...
If you put a ton of play in at SamsTown, you won't get anything at any OTHER property (it's not like CET/MLife Corporate Offers AT ALL)
If I were you, I'd put a significant amount of play in at MSS (to keep the offers up there)
Then find a Boyd property offering a point multiplier and play THERE (to get points to eat on and such)
Once I found out this about Boyd, I quit playing at their properties (because none of it transfers AT ALL)

Your play at any of the downtown Boyd's, Fremont, Cal & MSS counts towards your comp. Play at the other places does not. You still earn the slot points and card score points but if they look at your play vs comps, the others are not included.

I took the WAX out to Suncoast in March, played for an hour on dollar VP and now am getting monthly mailings from them for 2 nights & $35 in slot play. When we lived in Vegas we gambled a lot at Suncoast, so this just might be that I popped back on their radar and they are trying to entice me back? YMMV.

Next to MSS, Suncoast is my favorite casino. It has a nice feel to it and all the employees we ever encountered were always friendly.

We made the switch from staying on the strip to MSS years ago. Found by playing at other Boyd property's, Orleans, Suncoast, Goldcoast, even the Imperial Place in Biloxi we started getting comps for 2 nights and 35$ in free play. Recommend registering at the B connected website. Their you can view all of Boyd's offers for rooms, food and various tournaments.

Thanks for the info everyone! It was as I expected....

I will keep my play 90% for downtown and travel to the off-strip Boyd props just to pad my slot points on multiplier days and for a change of scenery.

I couldn't really see myself staying out at Suncoast or Sam's Town, as I would feel too far removed from everything else. But you never know.....

    Thanks again guys!

In another thread you mentioned you are determined to use more buses this trip. Be aware that at the Cal, they have a free shuttle to Sam's.

First shuttle starts at 8:30 AM. Catch it on the east side of the hotel, next to valet parking. It runs from Cal about every 75 minutes.

From Sam's the timing is about the same to return downtown. About every 75 minutes. First bus leaves Sam's at 9 AM. There is a schedule at the Cal front desk. Maybe MSS has one also. Not sure.

From Sam's you can also take the free shuttle to the Strip. You catch the shuttle back to Sam's at Harrah's. But then you have to catch the downtown shuttle at Sam's. IMO, way too much time to waste on a vacation.

I agree, trying to do too much this time. We have taken the shuttle out to Sam's before and enjoyed our play there. With a partial day set aside for Suncoast and another partial day for GC/Orleans/Palms, that is too much in a 5 day trip. Next time maybe.

See you guys in Vegas! :)
