I have been searching the casino websites & haven't found any special setups announced for BC yet.

In the past the Nugget has had a ballroom open w/ food & drink & betting stations. I'm sure some other places will have something similar, but I can't find anything announced yet. I'm sure some of the books will offer reserved tables. I'm guessing Friday won't be a big deal, but getting a table with good TV viewing will be more difficult on Saturday.

If anyone hears anything or gets emails, could you post it here? Lady friend & I will be staying at the Riv, but would definitely drive elsewhere for a good deal or situation.

    Thanks!

Walk on over to the LVH - I don't know of any specials, but the sports book is electric that weekend!!! It shows you that horse racing is alive and well. Get up early if you want a seat.

I did see a special at southpoint $179 for the weekend, included some extras and mentioned a party.

I went back to my emails and found the South Point promo you mentioned. Since we don't need rooms, and SP is a bit farther than I would prefer to drive, I probably won't be doing it, but thanks.

I backtracked on their website, and there are no links to it I can find, so if anyone's interested, here's the direct link: http://www.southpointcasino.com/hotel/package/2013-breeders-cup-package.php

Since we're at the Riv, I am thinking about Circus Circus for the Friday races, unless the Riv book is uncrowded. Way back when, the CC Skyline casino 1st opened with a (then) state-of-the-art sportsbook. Does anyone know if it's still there? I haven't ventured beyond the main CC casino in many years.
