The gf and I just stayed at LVH this weekend, via a mailed 2 night comp offer (out of the blue!) I actually enjoyed myself there... The crowd was very diverse (not a lot of any one "type"; ie: ******bags, geriatrics, gangbangers, etc) Also, they had a $5 minimum UTH table on the weekend! The crap tables were cold as ICE and $10 (which I guess is par for the course for a Vegas weekend?) The hotel room was perfectly fine (East Tower; we got a handicap room for some odd reason, but the beds were NICE and the view was OK) We only ate at Pizza Hut Express once, and the Sunday Brunch Buffet (comped). I wouldn't pay $20 for the sunday buffet (I'm cheap!), but it was definitely good quality food (Omelet was great as was the King Crab) If you got an offer from LVH I wouldn't hesitate as using it! That said, I talked to a host (got the buffet comp from him) and he said to contact him for future reso's, so I probably will be staying there again in the future The BEST part is, it's RIGHT on the MonoRail track, and it's not a far walk from the station to the Hotel Tower!!
I think it's an underrated gem. Of course it's not the Bellagio, but it's a nice, solid property with good rooms.
Exactly! Fancy it's not, but has a good solid mix of people and games. IE: something for everyone! (Even had $1 8/5 BP SuperTimesPay!!)
For the size of the hotel, I can't comprehend why the casino was built out so small in the LVH....it is absolutely tiny. That's the main problem I have with the place when I stop in..
Stayed here several times over the last few years, usually get 3-4 nights comped every stay. Cant really complain about anything, beds are super comfy, good food choices, had a couple of great meals at TJ,s steak house. I think a lot of people write it off because it isnt on the strip, but the monorail is right there if thats what you fancy, but the LVH has better VP than the strip and decent drink service.
I use to stay there a long time ago when I was able to use Hilton Honors card with stay. I enjoy the Sports Book there. Video poker for quarter had decent payouts but never hit RF 9/5 for payout? Meh on buffet. No problem with cafe Enjoyed Hilton Steakhouse Pizza Hut fine for quick bite. You get your daily exercise to walk there. For me once Hilton stripped themselves of casino properties off and on strip that is when I had no desire to stay @ LVH.
I use to stay at the Hilton a lot, but things changed went it changed to LVH. The offers were reduced and I quit going. Plus the selection of video poker that was full paid has been reduced as well, plus all the machines to be old and crappy. My new place to play is the South Point, great selection of video poker, and very generous with their comps and players club.
