    Hi all

I want to book the MGM Grand for next August. If i book it now and pay the deposit and I find In say 6 months time a better offer for the mgm would I be able to cancel my reservation and re book without losing my original deposit?

    Thanks all
    Chris

I find that when I book a room anywhere out there more than a couple months in advance that there always ends up being a better offer on the board at some point.

Generally what happens is that you just would call the MGM and either give them the newer promotion code where the prices are lower or just call them when you periodically check the rates they've listed on their website (and they're lower) and the reservations agent will just modify your reservation on the spot.

All you'll need is your original confirmation number and a promo code (if applicable).

That happens with me all the time, regardless of property, as rates do fluctuate over time.

Yes, as long as it's a refundable rate, most are, but some of the better deals are non-refundable, make sure you read the fine print.

You will 100% find a better deal if you are looking almost a year out. Promo codes probably won't be out till April-May. But it can't hurt to have it just in case.

Yea, if it's a refundable rate, why not book it?

Before we were getting free rooms we would book far in advanced just to lock in dates and price. Anytime we saw a cheaper price we would call and have them adjust the rate. Just make sure you document everything and bring it with you.
