Last week I really liked Jacksonville against Seattle with the week before Seattle playing a division rival.

This week Denver is also coming off a game against a division rival. Normally I would not play a team in this spot but Philadelphia is a team to bet against right now.

Philadelphia is deceptively bad. The betting public does not realize how bad this team is which means the betting lines will have value with the opposing team.
Micheal Vick is not the right type of quarterback for Chip Kelly's offense. Vick will make big plays, but also throw a lot of interceptions. Philadelphia's defense is a sieve.

    Waiting on one more line.

I am a bit of a contrarian player so here is my take. Phi looked god awful on Thursday and Den crushed Oak. Both prime time games that everyone saw so people will be loading up on the broncos who feel they should crush the eagles.

Den is on short rest and Phi has extra rest. McCoy will be the xfactor in this matchup. He looked really good on Thursday before and after his injury but the eagles abandoned a successful rushing attack. If not for turnovers the game would have closer. I feel the eagles will pound the rock more and open up those passing lanes.

Den may win just not by double digits.

I like Phi anything over 10.

    Good luck

As a "if you cut my veins I'd bleed green" Eagle fan I agree that the defense is putrid. It would take a lot to be worse in the secondary than last year but I'll be damned if they aren't doing their best.

I disliked the Billy Davis hire to be the DC and they don't have the right personnel yet to run the 3-4 or even the 4-3 under.

Anyways I disagree that Vick is the wrong fit for a Kelly led offense. Yeah he makes boneheaded plays sometimes but I believe this is the type of offense that suits him really well.

Chip seems to be moving him around enough to where he has spacing to see his targets. Marty Mornhinweg and Andy kept him in the pocket way too much for my liking and his short stature caused him to not see over the big OL.

If Shady keeps doing his thing then that keeps pressure off Vick and the offense will continue to thrive.

Their biggest offensive issue is the fact that Maclin went down. Riley Cooper is not a starter and Jason Avant is only really a slot guy (but really good there).

I dont know Manning was complaining about the short week and Eagles are coming off a nice and needed rest with their 3 games in 11 days prior. I think Im just going to play the over again.

Another die hard Eagles fan here. Take Denver. Whatever the NFL record for TD passes in a game is, Peyton might challenge it. The defense is a horror show. Look at the fact that Phillip Rivers and Alex Smith, two decent QB's, picked it apart. Rivers put on a clinic. Just imagine what one of the all-time greats in Peyton is going to do to it.

It took one half of a game for D-Coordinators to figure out Chip Kelly's vaunted offense. The major problem with it is that they wear themselves out. Shady McCoy will rise to the top 3 of NFL RB's in this offense, but eventually Vick will go down and Foles just can't do it. As Rocky stated, losing Maclin in the pre-season spelled doom for this team. Cooper should never be a starter and Avant is a 3rd down possession guy. Desean Jackson could be a great player, but he will never get his head together. Celek and his backups, although quite good, can't do it all.

On special teams, they can't even field a fair catch. The punter is averaging 35 yards. The PK can't hit anything over 45 yards. If anything, this team could be worse than last year.

Chip might be able to survive next year if he can draft his own guy (name?) out of Oregon. Other than that, his offense is a college gimmick that took pro coaches 30 minutes of football to figure out.

Also, consider that the Redskins are really that bad. I attended that game and we were hanging on for dear life at the end. I mentioned to my buddy how awful it would be to lose. The 'Skins fans would have diced and sliced us in the parking lot.

In short, I say it's a no-brainer at 10 points and would even be doable at 17.

My gut feeling is EVERONE will LOVE Denver. I LOVE the game OVER. If ya held a gun to my head like Philly to keep it close.
    Kinda echoing Squibs viewpoints
As for my Giants, I like the OVER. Don't have a feel on the outcome.

They might pull him before he gets to 8.

Peyton loves to stat pad. If he could stay in there and get 12 in a game while shutting out the opponent, he would.

I'm grasping at straws here...but they did play Peyton tough last time they faced him which was back in 2010. So I will hope that they can somehow pressure him. Perhaps they can pick on DEN's new replacement LT.

However...if they want any chance of winning the ballgame they need to tackle. Those slip and bubble screens that Demaryius Thomas runs? Whiff on that play and turn the lights out, the party's over.

If I am Billy Davis (and I may be able to call a better game than him) I'd run nickle and dime all game. I'd need Cary Williams to back up his brash attitude by locking down on Thomas - hoping Decker has an off game with Fletcher on him and then allow Brandon Boykin to shadow Welker.

And I would have all three of them in press coverage at the line. That is the only way to disrupt that passing game. Throw off the timing. If you play back and allow them free releases it's going to get ugly quick.

Ah well...regardless I will be fired up on Sunday and screaming my face off.

BTW Breeze...agree on the kicker. They spent a 4th round pick on him and I have ZERO confidence in him.

seriously. who calls a fade route on 1st and goal at the 1? only Peyton, he wants that extra passing TD. screwed me because Moreno is on my Fantasy team and 99% of the time they give it to the RB and he scores easily. nope, not here.
