I did this prior to my last departure for Vegas and got good responses. I also got some odd, peculiar and unnecessary responses, but that's life in the big city.

So let's try it again. Here are 10 random questions for your consideration. It's a free country, so answer them as you wish. But if you have no answer to a question or no interest in answering a question, just skip it and move on. There's no need to tell everyone that you pass, that you've never been to a Vegas restaurant or that you're too good to eat at a buffet. (But if you must, you must.) Go ahead and delete the question outright. There's no penalty for answering less than 10 questions. And if you're savvy, savvier than I am, typing responses in bold or some other offset of the standard text is very cool.

I read all of them and enjoy the interesting tidbits I glean from the responses, so thanks in advance for participating. Go nuts for doughnuts!

    1. You are prohibited by law from spending your next one-week vacation in the greater Vegas area. You are also required to travel outside your state/providence for your next vacation. You don't have a blank check, but you have the benefit of your typical Vegas vacation budget, plus 50 percent. Where will you be taking your next vacation to?
    2. Because it no longer exists, what's the thing you miss most from your previous trips to Vegas? (Besides the money you lost gambling.)
    3. Thinking back to your first trip, what do you enjoy today that didn't exist during your inaugural trip?
    4. If it's not your answer to No. 2, what deceased casino do you miss the most?
    5. What's the most significant thing that you've lost or had stolen while in Vegas?
    6. Aside from performers on a stage, what's your most memorable/significant brush with celebrity greatness while in Vegas?
    7. What's the most memorable show you've seen in Vegas?
    8. If there's a food or beverage you only indulge in while in Vegas, what is it?
    9. What's your favorite Vegas restaurant?
    10. Who is your favorite VMB user, and why?

I'd love to go to Hawaii and golf over there. I've never been to Hawaii and I'd love to get on a few courses next to the ocean. Realistically, I'd be happy enough going down to Arizona to golf since one of my friends lives down there.

    2. Because it no longer exists, what's the thing you miss most from your previous trips to Vegas? (Besides the money you lost gambling.)

Bills, if only for the late night meals at Victorian Cafe

    3. Thinking back to your first trip, what do you enjoy today that didn't exist during your inaugural trip?

I wouldn't say that it didn't exist, but I never played blackjack on my first trip and that's definitely a big part of my gambling now.

    4. If it's not your answer to No. 2, what deceased casino do you miss the most?

    N/A

    5. What's the most significant thing that you've lost or had stolen while in Vegas?

I honestly don't think I've ever lost or had anything stolen in Vegas.

    6. Aside from performers on a stage, what's your most memorable/significant brush with celebrity greatness while in Vegas?

    No celebrity sightings here.

    7. What's the most memorable show you've seen in Vegas?

I've only seen one show so that would be Carrot Top.

    8. If there's a food or beverage you only indulge in while in Vegas, what is it?

There's no good steakhouses around here so I never really go out for a nice steak dinner at home. I can get a better steak at the butcher than what I could get at Outback or Tony Romas. So I'll always go to a Steakhouse. I also very rarely drink Long Islands at home but I consume plenty in Vegas.

    9. What's your favorite Vegas restaurant?

Steakhouse - Gordon Ramsay Steak...Fast Food - In N Out or Sammys LA Pastrami & Burgers

    10. Who is your favorite VMB user, and why?

Anybody that does an excellent trip report or that actually has a sense of humor.

Hmmmm Valentine? Sounds very romantic, but wasn't a tour of Dalton & Gurley your first choice? :evillaugh

You don't have a blank check, but you have the benefit of your typical Vegas vacation budget, plus 50 percent. Where will you be taking your next vacation to?

Golf trip to Arizona (150% of my typical Vegas vacation budget doesn't afford me too much more.)

    2. Because it no longer exists, what's the thing you miss most from your previous trips to Vegas? (Besides the money you lost gambling.)

The Dunes hotel. It had such a relaxing, laid-back vibe, dirt cheap rooms and a stellar location. Runner-up: The burritos from the La Piazza Food Court at Caesars.

    3. Thinking back to your first trip, what do you enjoy today that didn't exist during your inaugural trip?

All the great food options in Vegas. My first trips were prior to the Celebrity Chef Revolution.

    4. If it's not your answer to No. 2, what deceased casino do you miss the most?

    Frontier. Always liked playing there.

    5. What's the most significant thing that you've lost or had stolen while in Vegas?

My mom's camera got jacked from under her lounge chair at the MGM pool one trip.

    6. Aside from performers on a stage, what's your most memorable/significant brush with celebrity greatness while in Vegas?

I used to get a big kick out of seeing the blackjack dealer in Rain Man dealing cards at Caesars. He says something like, "You're doing well. I'm happy for you" in the movie. Not sure if he still works there. Also walked past John Cougar Mellencamp one night at MGM. (Jesus I'm pathetic!)

    7. What's the most memorable show you've seen in Vegas?

Popovich Pet Theater (only show I've ever seen in Vegas, that I can recall)

    8. If there's a food or beverage you only indulge in while in Vegas, what is it?

    Bloody Marys.

    9. What's your favorite Vegas restaurant?

Bouchon? Peppermill? Lotus of Siam? Damn, that's a hard question.

    10. Who is your favorite VMB user, and why?

Shifter because he's in a totally different realm yet still answers the mundane questions of us relative lowlifes.

Fun and interesting questions. Here we go:

Probably a mountain somewhere. Which one, undecided.

    2. Because it no longer exists, what's the thing you miss most from your previous trips to Vegas? (Besides the money you lost gambling.)

    7. What's the most memorable show you've seen in Vegas?

    O

    8. If there's a food or beverage you only indulge in while in Vegas, what is it?

    Nope

    9. What's your favorite Vegas restaurant?

Used to be Seablue. These days its Julian Serrano

    10. Who is your favorite VMB user, and why?

Lots of helpful people on here, but I'll say Royal Flusher, Blue Skadoo, Brensan, Natedogg, and KellyLovesVegas because I have met all these folks in Vegas on various trips and all were great, fun people who I hope to hang out with again one day soon ........ probably near a craps table

About all of the legacy "Old Vegas" places!

Never had anything lost/stolen that I know of.

In all of my trips, I never recall any celebrities except for on stage. I don't go looking for them, however.

    Jersey Boys!

    Uh, nothing, really ...

I really don't have an absolute fave. Really! :)

    THANKS! FUN TOPIC!
I really miss vacationing on the Oregon Coast, we haven't done that in a while. I'd probably go there.
    2. Because it no longer exists, what's the thing you miss most from your previous trips to Vegas? (Besides the money you lost gambling.)
Some of the places we used to go, like Nevada Palace (what a dive), Stardust, Sands, Holiday Inn on the Strip. I miss the days when we had a ton of fun coupons to play at all the casinos.
    3. Thinking back to your first trip, what do you enjoy today that didn't exist during your inaugural trip? GVR and Red Rock, off-strip places where I feel relaxed and comfortable....I also like the fact that I'm familiar with the city now and we travel all around, not just stay on the Strip.
    4. If it's not your answer to No. 2, what deceased casino do you miss the most?
    5. What's the most significant thing that you've lost or had stolen while in Vegas? I left about $200 in a machine on a TITO at Eastside Cannery and didn't realize it until the next day. We went back and tried to see if I could get it back, but no go.
    6. Aside from performers on a stage, what's your most memorable/significant brush with celebrity greatness while in Vegas? About 5 years ago right before the WSOP began at Rio, they had a celebrity poker game and we were inches away from Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Adam Sandler (who winked at me), Kevin James
    7. What's the most memorable show you've seen in Vegas? Might be silly, but I loved Queen's We Will Rock You, saw it twice. Also saw one of my favorite bands, Collective Soul, once at Ovation in GVR which was a small room and great, and Hard Rock by the pool, I was right up front and both shows were so good. We also saw the Fixx at Ovation and it was just great to be so close (and that was free). Also love Ka.
    8. If there's a food or beverage you only indulge in while in Vegas, what is it? Maybe a bloody mary, In 'N Out Burger, Port o Subs, Capriottis,
    9. What's your favorite Vegas restaurant? Don't really have one
    10. Who is your favorite VMB user, and why? I think Royal Flusher is hilarious.
