I haven't been to LVH since it was the Hilton and had a Star Trek theme (which thought was pretty cool). I thought since we have our MyVegas monorail passes, why note stop in and check it out. Any players club sign up promos going on? How bout the food there...is that Asian place any good?

We like the sushi place that was there (not sure if it still is).

OT - totally miss the Star Trek Experience...

Interesting article, especially considering that Hilton/LVH is one of the few hotel/casinos I've never visited in the 28+ years I've been going to Vegas. It doesn't sound like there are any compelling reasons to do so now, either.

LVH is terrible and a huge flop imo. I loved the hilton and the old star trek theme back in the day. Lvh just sucks. The casino has about 4 slot machines and 2 tables. No vibe at all. Nothing about that place reminds me of the old Hilton. I vowed to never return to lvh. Plus LVH still has some of the old slot machines from2007 when I first went to vegas. Riviera > LVH imo......

The Paradise Cafe in the shop area between the lobby and the convention area serves good food at reasonable prices. Their breakfast menu is particularly yummy.

Are you serious about only 4 slot machines and 2 tables?

In my mind, there's one very good reason. The buffet price includes all you can drink beer and wine. Worth the trip up there on the monorail. Even better if you can find discount coupons for either or both.

Haha Lola, that sounds good to me too! I think it might be worth the ride to see if they have any of the older slot machines that I like. I bet I could find a Dirty Dancing slot there....might be one of the 4 machines they have. :poke:

LOL!!!! no I was just exaggerating. They do have the smallest # of slots out of anywhere on the strip imo....unless they have casino royale beat out

I poped in on my way back from down town to use the monorail back home to the Aria, didnt even spend an hour on the casino floor. It's a dump imho, empty no vibe, wont ever be going back. Can only speak for the floor, left as soon as I'd walked around it and that didnt take long, the table dealers were literally asking you to come sit and play. Thats never happend to me before not even downtown :Þ

I've been a long-time fan of the Hilton, but it is starting to die out, just like the Riv.
A sign that death is at the doorstep is when a move can be filmed on your property, such as Casino at the Riv and recently, the Lberace flick at LVH.

That's one of the craziest things I've heard. Dealers so desperate they have to beg people to play. LVH is a disgrace to what Hilton used to be. smh....

Word to your mother. I was just going to post that very reason. I tend to have a plate of shrimp and 45 glasses of wine.

That's funny...my cab driver was raving over this show yesterday. Said he's seen it twice.
