The corner of Las Vegas Club's casino floor closest to the plaza has now been turned into a tourist-trappy gift shop like the Pioneer. Won't be long now....

Yea, it was already open back in April. I can't even stand to walk through the place anymore to get to MSS.

As bad as they are, they still offer one of only three low-limit 2-deck downtown blackjack games that permit DAS. (El Co, Plaza & LVC).

I always go there for their old quarter Joker Poker machines. I LOVE JP! I just don't pay too much attention to my surroundings and play, play, play.

Is the door still open that leads to MSS? Guess I'll find out on the 7th.

The door that leads to the street has been blocked off. I think someone had a pic of it on here a while back.

You either make a left just before the old exit or you have to take a creepy hallway to the corner where binions is.....easier to just go thru binions

They are working on it. I was talking to a worker who had been there about 20 years and she said the process is going forwrd with the renow but she wasnt sure of the timeframe.

Notice how there always seem to be suits walking around in groups talking about this or that. obviously some sort of brain trust there.

I think what would be cool downtown is instead of a junky tee short shop, put in a bunch of thsie crazy japanese vending machines. they have them there where you can buy porn, live fish, all sorts of crazy stuff.

it would be fun and everyone would buy something just to say they did it. nothing pricey like the gold or ipad ones, just some funny stuff and foods.

That is good to hear--the place has been on the slide for years, and I feared the junky t-shirt shop was one more sign of its death spiral.

Walked in the Vegas Club on a weekday back in July and it was dead, dead, dead....

I'm not kidding, I swear there were less than 5 people in the whole damn casino, and NOBODY was playing table games. It was so sad looking, and depressing to even walk around in there.

The T-shirt/trinket/junk shop is so tacky, so cheap looking, and out of place. I swear management is staffed with retards.

I honestly hope the Las Vegas Club makes a comeback. I think it has the neatest name in all of Vegas. And it was once one of the gems of Downtown.

I think I played there twice last trip, and was the only one in the pit both times, got really good drink service though,,,one time she came by and asked what I wanted...said "I'm ok" felt pretty bad after she walked away somewhat dejected.

I was there a couple weeks ago. I think its a little better than what it was in May. They did have a few new slots, and the table were reasonably busy during the nights. Really good DD BJ game that I killed them on. Drink service was good too. VP has been gutted mostly, just like the Plaza.

I had a damn good time there a few years ago. Played some blackjack with two other guys for a number of hours and we were all having a blast. Went down there the next day and saw them again and played for a few more hours. When I went back earlier this year the place was a ghost town. It really was pretty sad.

Actually I think the problem is that management are a bunch of retards. these are the same ones running the plaza into the ground. The only hope is that someone buys out the lvc and turns it around, I seriously doubt that current management will do nothing more than shut down the place IMHO.

there actually was a small lvc store in the middle area but that place got shut down, guess it wasn't bringing in enough $$ to be profitable. at least I got my cheap ($3) lvc t shirts, maybe I can sell them on eBay when they are a novelty after the place closes down, lol.
