There has been a ton of VP porn pictures posted lately and I am curious. I always switch to cash total and my wife always stays on credits.

I'm usually playing dollar VP, so all it does is add a dollar sign when I switch from credits to cash, but for some reason that is how I like to play. Gambler superstition I guess. My wife plays quarters and insists on the credits display.

How about you? Which display on VP, or also slots also if that is an option?

    Cash or credits

Always credits for me. I think it’s probably half superstition and half trying to fool myself into thinking I’m not losing real money.

BTW, I was thinking about doing the same poll a few weeks ago but forgot! Great minds think alike, I suppose…at least when they aren’t thinking about politics or whether to choose cash or credits. :evillaugh

Always the cash total. Saves my brain from having to divide everything by 4, lol. (I play quarters.) :)

I play credits until I hit something and I'm ahead in that session. Then I switch to $$$ so I can determine a dollar limit of when I'm getting out of the game, ahead of course. Of course if I'm never up during a session it stays on credits.

Credits, and this is true for me on any slots. I like to see my credits - that way it's not real money :)

Usually I play on credits, Just to make it a little more difficult for a lookie-lu to figure out how much I have.

But try to photo with Cash.

Exactly....I don't understand why anyone would choose to display credits over cash, unless they enjoy unnecessary math. (I suppose this doesn't apply to dollar players)

I like the credits display because, for example, if I'm betting 10 credits per spin on a quarter machine, it's easier for me to know that I actually 'won' when I see 15 credits won, rather than seeing I won $3.75. Or that I didn't really win when I see 7 credits won, instead of $1.75.

(I guess the question was about VP, my answer was thinking about a random slot machine.)

    But it doesn't matter much.

Generally I am this way. I usually won't bother to change it. If I was forced to choose, I might slightly lean toward credits to give myself a mental math conversion exercise. Yes, grosx2, there are people like that out there. I would also definitely have it on credits if I was around my g/f's 90-year old grandmother. She believes losing $5 is enough for one trip...seriously.

I always do credits... don't know why though, hadn't thought about it... maybe because it looks like more? :) :) :)

Thanks Joe for posting a poll. I think they are fun, and I haven't seen many lately. I have seen posts that should be polls. They aren't that hard to do. Perhaps you should run everyone through it!

I'm surprised at the poll results, around 2 to 1 for cash over credits. Some machines have a default and many people just leave it at the default. If the default at your "home" casino, the one you play at most, is credits (as at my Vegas home Red Rock), you might be more inclined to leave it at credits. But if the default is cash (as at Caesar's Windsor), you might be inclined to leave it there. Many players switch games frequently, as often as every five hands or so. Some machines are set to go back to the default when you change games. I know this is true at Windsor, since my preference is the opposite of the default. But I don't know if that is true at Red Rock, since I prefer the default.

    Interesting question.

I always pick credits and my wife picks cash. I am going to start using cash though because I normally play all dollars where it doesn't matter but this last trip I played a lot of 2 dollar games and got a little f-ed up one day when I set my downside cash in point after hitting 4 Aces. And I wasn't even drinking!!:poke:

Definitely cash! If I look at credits, I have no idea how much $ I have left...without a little quick math in my head, which is sometimes difficult when drinking and gambling!

It was a joke, actually. I don't really have a problem "doing the math".
