Call to confirm reservation?

So I have been to Vegas 30-40 times (lost count) and this has never happened to me. I have a reservation at Paris for the weekend, and yesterday I got a call telling me to call back and confirm my reservation. I made the reservation online. I booked a Red Room and she told me they had me in a strip view (I'll believe it when I see it) and there would be noise from outside music, and would that bother me? Just wondering if this is what they do now? Not a big deal, of course, just thought it was odd.

 

We always receive those calls from Paris (maybe last 5 years or so). They confirm the room / approx. arrival time and ask if we need any help with show tickets or would like a limo at the airport. Nice touch really....

 

Thanks for the heads up. I'm booked at Paris in a week. First time staying there. Wondering if I'll get the call?

 

I just assumed everyone did but I guess it could be on Diamond / 7 Stars only.... ??? Not sure.

 

Never got any calls from either PH or Flamingo

 

We've stayed at Bally's with no call but always from Paris....

 

My last stay there I was diamond, but no call. Maybe since I have more tier credits this time? My first thought was, maybe they are overbooked and were looking for cancellations...lol. And I really hope they come through on that strip view thing

 

That's awesome they warned you about the music though! Never had that happen to me either...

 

It sounds like they changed your room type from what you reserved and were calling to make sure that you were ok with the change...
