I'm looking for suggestions and/or tips for our upcoming trip. We plan on getting out of the casino one afternoon, into evening and doing a bar crawl to see many of the nice bars we have never visited.

    Cab to MB:

    Mix at The Hotel
    Foundation Room at Mandalay
    Aureole at MB

    cab to Cosmopolitan:

    Chandelier bar
    Bond bar

    Walk to Paris:

    Chateau
    Eiffel Tower

    Cab to Wynn:

    Parasol up or down

Cab to Rio, Strat or Palms for bars ar the top

I am staying at Mirage, so will already be stopping in Rhumbar. My kids and mom are at Harrahs, so we will already be stopping in Carnival Court. May or may not make it to Hyde.

Anything else you think is a must see? Thanks!!

Sounds like fun but would also take my whole Vegas budget...plus I would have to dress up. :faint:

Yes, that sounds very fun, but also sounds impossible unless you split them up by days. At only a half-hour per place, that is at least 12 hours with transportation in between. I would want to do a separate group many each evening (or 2 groups) per evening so you could really enjoy each of them and not feel rushed.

I would say that even doing 3-4 in a night is almost impossible and cost you a little bit. Entry plus a drink or 2, then walking around the casino to go from one to another. Most nights your going to wait in a cab line and don't forget line to get in.

I would focus on 2 places at most if you're going to be moving around that much. All depends on what time you're getting started. Clubs and lounges dont really get good until 11pm+. So if youre an early bird and start drinking around 9pm, then its possible to move around more.

One place is good enough for one night. Trying to hop from place to place can get overwhelming. 1hour can go by quick at one place. Thats barely even a chance to get situated, get a drink and start a good conversation. Then if you end up liking the place and the vibe is good, why even leave and try to go somewhere else.

Dont chase the fun and trying to see too many places in a short period of time. Enjoy the moment and spend quality time at a fewer places.

Gotta tell ya how hard I was just laughing at myself. Awhile back I asked for suggestions on cool bars to see. Never even considered some of those on the list might be clubs that open late and have covers. Now, after really researching my bar crawl plans are out the window. We just wanted to do a fun easy night of checking out the decor and specialties of different bars. I'm a little embarrassed lol

It will be a good laugh when I tell hubbie tonight that several of the bars we had planned to go to starting mid afternoon don't even open till 10. He would have been so pissed if we cabbed it over to MB to find this out. Rofl

Pretty sure at this point we will just head over to Cosmo, maybe Eiffel Tower and then end up at voodoo for dinner. Yeah, I don't do "clubs" or pay covers although my 2 25yr olds might want to check out my original list

I'm so glad I asked. Thanks everyone! It will be me and hubbie, late 40s, our two kids and my mother.

Bars that are open floor plan with no covers such as Chandelier bar and a few other ones in Cosmo are nice to check out.

But lounges are in between bar and a club. They do have cover, most of them so be prepared for that. Some have cover as much as what a club would cost.

Personally I feel just because you are not in your 20s or 30s, doesnt mean you dont belong in the clubs. If you're daring enough, LOL, check some of them out. On any given night, you'll see that many of the expensive tables near the dancefloor has alot of 40-50s y/o groups in them. Of course you'll see the 20yo women all over the place as well. But it isnt uncommon to see older couples or some daughter with her mom in tow. haha.
