Just curious, my wife and I both have accounts and points...and we're going to Vegas in late December, so we expect we'll have enough points for each ONE dinner buffet..
I'm thinking Mirage (as it's the most points cost)
BUUUT I heard Bellagio is the best?

Bellagio is seen as the best MLife buffet. The Cravings buffet at Mirage is also very good. However based on reward cost alone, the Aria buffet would be the most expensive. Now a whopping 156,000 LP for 2 dinner buffet reward opposed to 112,000 at Mirage and 91,000 at MGM. Aria is also regular ranked ahead of Cravings and MGM on the lists of best Vegas buffets.

The only buffet award currently listed for Bellagio is for lunch.

The mirage has excellent prime rib and king crab legs. It is easy to get to and hardly ever has a line. The Aria is a wonderful buffet with lots of choices with a very large seafood selection. When we went to Aria there was a long line but it move quickly and we were in and seated in about 20 minutes. The only problem I have with the Aria is that it is a long hike to get to it. M life desk is in the back of the casino and the buffet is upstairs by the Zarkana theatre. The Bellagio buffet award is for lunch only but is still very good. I ate way to much at this one. It also includes a line pass or at least it did when we went.

imo: Aria dinner buffet > Bellagio lunch buffet

Lots of crab selections, meat selections, and Aria seats more people without much of a line.

Plus you can use Aria dinner buffet on Mon-Thu. Although Bellagio let me use the lunch buffet on the weekend and let me pay the difference, but I'm not sure if they'll let me do that again.

Most of the buffet passes are restricted to certain days.

I recently posted a not so nice review of the Aria buffet. Some may like it though, and my favs are outside of Mlife for the most part.

Mandalay is decent, but I don't think I've ever heard it described in glowing terms.

I'm not a huge fan of the Bellagio buffet, but that's because I'm not a seafood person. Most people that love it do for that reason I believe. My suggestion would be Bellagio for you, but food is subjective.

    Good luck and enjoy.

We recently did the reward for the Aria dinner buffet (and also the one for the bottomless beverage pass). That's now one of our favorite buffets. The abundance of crab legs may have had something to do with that - but really we enjoyed pretty much everything there.

I saw someone with no less than 15 crab legs on her plate at the Aria buffet. I think I'm easily influenced or something, because I tried a few of the steamed and already opened crab legs. They're really quite good.

I also got the fish and chips, that wasn't very good, the fish was kinda dry and had too much batter.

The prime rib/roast is very good, and they'll give you small half slices upon request.

Desert options were better than Bellagio too, lots of variety, and a rotating ice cream/gelato (i think) machine. Seems very high class for a buffet.

We did the Aria buffet reward ealier this month and thought it was very good. Belagio may be better but I'd put Aria on par with or better than Mirage (hard to say because its been a long time since we had Mirage).

FYI, we were staying at Mandalay Bay and chose the Aria buffet isntead because of the reviews of read of the MB Buffet. Check out Yelp if you are considering it. I got the impression if was WAY down the list of MLife Buffets.

As for the line, I'm not sure if we were supposed to but we went to the short line and got right in. It was makes "sky suites" but I didn't see any other VIP/Platinum/etc. line. I was under the impression that our MyVegas reward was also a line pass and they didn't say anything othewise.

I know you are looking at buffets. We did the aria lunch buffet in september (thanks MyVegas!) It was very good. I must say however that we did the Excalibur Steakhouse $50 credit when you spend $50 and it was fantastic. I was not expecting much as I have always thought of Excalibur being on par with the IP:evillaugh...I was very pleased. The staff was stellar, and the food was great. I got the meatloaf and the bf got a ribeye. Mine was the prix fixe menu...meatloaf with asparagus, mashed and delicious gravy, soup or salad and creme brule for $35. I would highly recommend.

No. And why should it, it's not a Mlife property.

I had Bellagio for lunch and it was good, a little boring, but the food was good. I guess I expected more for such a classy place. I had Mirage for dinner last month (I paid for it) and didn't like it. If literally all you wanna eat is crab legs and prime rib.. then fine (The prime rib was excellent!), but everything else was mediocre and picked out... like none of the bread stations had butter, they have a really tiny salad bar. All the entrees were dried up and many needed to be replaced... For free, I'd do it again, but I wouldn't pay for it.

Honestly, buffets are NOT worth the price on the strip in Vegas. Free comps, great, go for it. But it's ridiculous to pay $30 to eat one of these places, and wait in a Disneyland-esque line, you can have a nice sit down meal at tons of places for the same price.

I purchased the MGM Buffet from MyVegas - going in December.

We plan to be there on Tuesday night, which is their seafood night. Anyone been there on that night? Is it as good as the Aria?
