was in Biloxi this past weekend playing craps ...so up walks this short heavyset , and very loud woman
who just happens to buy in at my right side just before it is my turn to roll
god that in itself just pisses me off .....if you want to play fine just don't cut in line and take my next turn to roll.....
anyway she buys in for 500.00 and proceeds to complain that she hopes the table isn't cold and that she will leave if it is
blah blah blah ... on and on about negative this and that
she is betting heavy and won 1 and lost 1 , then comes her turn to roll
    1st number .....a fucking 3.....jesus , really !
2nd number a fucking 2 ....damn and who was calling the table cold ?
3rd number ....finally a point ....here we go .......nope rolls a fucking 7 ...out
I got up and left I was so pissed
not to mention I was at the end of the table and she was sooooo close to me she was actually pushing on my arm , as if I was gonna move over , nope not this guy
    I didn't budge .

Yeah it's inevitable to run into a few rude/obnoxious people in casinos. The best thing to do is just smile and not let them ruin your mood or day.

Some people just aren't happy if they don't have something to complain about. Here she is probably on vacation, in a casino like the Beau, gambling - while we have the highest unemployment since the depression, and millions of Americans losing their homes. You mentioned she was short and heavyset. Lemme tell you, as a former morbidly obese person (380lbs at my fattest) I can tell you I wasn't very happy either, and also complained a lot. I didn't realize it wasn't the world, or outside situations I was pissed off with, it was the dude who looked at me in the mirror everyday..Please don't think I'm trying to defend this woman, because she could be a complaining misery box even if she were a size 2, but this could very well be her problem. Also, buying in at any table and even talking about it being cold is bad casino etiquette. You should have raised your right arm, pointed to the buffet and said "Holy shit, they're passing out comps for breakfast, lunch and dinner!!!":wink2:

Why wouldn't you bet the dark side at a time like this? I would think that betting against an annoying player would be one of the advantages of craps.

I HATE when I'm playing blackjack and there's someone at the table who bitches and moans every time they lose a bet. Drives me crazy. And if it's a cold table, it's absolutely miserable.

They inevitably lose all their money, and I think "Thank God. LEAVE." Until they pull out their wallet and throw more money down... Grrr...

I'll even bet that this woman, should she have shot a monster and made a big score, would have said something like, "#@&*%! I didn't get over the hump!" Haven't we all seen it?

It's too bad that gamblers so rarely follow the sage advice to:

"Win like you're used to it and lose like you don't mind."

Deadweights. Great for the casino but terrible for other players.

Run into those I just color out and leave.

Pretty full table and it is the original poster's turn to roll coming up. But she butts in right next to him (on his right). The shooter is now to her right and after two rolls sevens out. Then the dice go to her instead of the original poster, or 'OP' as some savvy people call it.

Oh.. O.K., I get it now. The way it was written (to me anyway) was that the shooter had already sevened out and she butted in right before the dice was supposed to be passed to him.

But really, that's how the game of craps is played. The dice will be passed in a clockwise direction, regardless of who came first or last. As long as there is a legitimate space between players, anyone can step up to play.

The OP could've asked politely if he can roll next. But according to the OP's description of her attitude that probably wouldn't happen.

It sucks, but there really isn't anything that can be done about it. Except rant, which is what the OP did.

OMG-I just played with a guy at Mohegan Sun like this.

He would decide to hold on a 15 against a 10 after agonizing over what to do then lose his $75 bet, be all out of chips and then another $200-$300 would magically appear.

I either wanted him to get wiped out or get 20's and 21's so he wouldn't have to make a decision.

When I go to the casinos over across the border in Looooouisiana all of the sticks and boxes there will not let newcomers shoot on crowded tables. You have to be in the game for a bit. They do this to prevent the situations described above.

If you enter a dice game and the shooter is less than a 1/2 table to your right, proper etiquette is to pass the dice when they first come to you.

I was at a craps table in Tahoe last week when the bold (losing) player to my right got the dice and threw a 7. As he got paid, he hollered to the guy at the other end of the table "Thanks for playing the Don't against me". I told him "It's not against you, he's been playing the Don't since before you got here. And he's WINNING."

The guy didn't say another word. (Maybe it had something to do with not making a point.)
