I stepped away to relieve myself last night in the middle of a huge player run where I had been betting 5k. I wouldn't normally do that but I had been holding it for an hour and just couldn't wait anymore. I told them to wait but they dealt 2 hands anyway while I was gone and of course player won both. That pee felt good but not 10k good.

Anybody else do something like that?

I would keep holding it till the streak stopped. Also, bad form on the casino's part not to wait for you if you were the big bettor all along in the prior hands

Were you playing by yourself or with others?

I agree, if you were the biggest bettor by far at the table (as in your bets were above and beyond the rest of the table combined) they should have waited for you. On the other hand, I suppose if the streak broke and the bank won those hands, we could have been potentially been talking about you getting paid 10k to use the restroom.

Yeah I don't blame them though because there was some confusion on my part about what I wanted them to do. The table was pretty full and I guess they waited a bit but weren't sure what I wanted. But that's not really the point, the point is doing something like that that cost you a bunch.

This reminds me of another story I heard while playing pai gow poker at the Bay. One gentleman at first base doesn't play the side bet, another at sixth base puts $25 on that bet, qualifying him for the "envy" payouts and a nice sum if he hits something good. Sixth base gets a call and walks away from the table assuming his hand will be played house way (but doesn't say anything to the dealer). Dealer calls the pit boss over and the pit boss decides to take down the bet. When sixth base comes back from the phone call, he finds that first base hit a natural 7 card straight flush and he lost out of $5k. He was livid and had to be escorted out by security. I hope that call was important!

I am not a High Roller, so I don't know how it works in LV.

Personally, I can't imagine any circumstance I would ask other people to wait while I go to the restroom.

    My grandfather had an expression:

Althought I'm not a baccarat player, this does give me the opportunity to quote the late, great Sam Grafstein who, in his masterpiece The Dice Doctor, said:

"The best break a casino can hope for when the big or MONSTER HAND shows, is for the hi-rollers and though players to be in the toilet WITH A BAD CASE OF DIRRHEA." (Caps are his.)

Another profound truth from "The Dice Doctor.!"

Wow, talk about the ultimate “Golden Shower” :haha:

Then again, who gives a “Piss” as long as it doesn’t change how you are flowing. :poke:

it is common courtesy at most high limit tables that if a big bettor asks to hold up the game a couple minutes to use the restroom, that everyone complies. I play BJ 95% of the time as the only one at the table, but if there is another player we always agree as a courtesy to each other to wait while until the other returns,

bah, gotta hold it in until shuffle!

    I play blackjack.

So I once lied to my wife, going out for dinner (really flew out to vegas to play) In the middle of a hot shoe, I didn't answer a chain of her calls.

Won, but got my butt kicked ( no amount of money could have saved me at this point once she found out what I did )

2nd time I took a random trip out, I went with a friend, got the phone call from the wife, instructed my friend to play table min if I leave for a phone call. She calls, I leave. apparently the shoe was hot, dealer busted 80% of the shoe and I only made table min.

I can't even comprehend how you could tell your wife "Going out to grab some In n Out babe" and come back a day or two later.

agree. that happened to me once while i was playing at the high limit baccarat table (forgot which hotel). couple ladies, another guy and me. one of the ladies told the dealer to wait for her and we all agreed. but we didn't expect to wait that long, almost 30 minutes :grrr:! the embarrass part was the restroom is inside the high limit room, just steps away. we all saw her went in and came out :vomit:. but she didn't even apologize for the hold up :nono:.

There have been a few occasions when I am on a nice roll in craps where I have to pee really bad. Like no jedi mind tricks or any amount of trying to hold it works...but what do I do? Pass the dice after I have been rolling a half hour? I soldier on and a few times as soon as I think about how bad I need to go the seven appears.

And as soon as the stick makes the first syllable of "seven out" I'm sprinting for the can.
