Thinking of taking a drive out to both of these casino's while we're in town. We'll do one casino then drive to the other. We mainly just want to check them out as we've never visited either property. Debating on going for the breakfast/brunch buffet (on a weekday). Which one seems to be better? Food quality? Variety? Anything special?

    Thanks for your opinions.

Don't mean to confuse you, but we found both of them to be decent if not good.

We enjoyed our meal at each property, and we enjoyed the drive out. The drive to Red Rock might be a little more picturesque. Each time we ate a late lunch--we like to pig out middle of the day--and then eat lighter at dinner time.

We found the lines at Red Rock to be MUCH longer than G.V.R.

They're both Station Casino properties, hence the quality of food is similar.

The desserts we found to be great. Both properties have many different food choices. We enjoyed the salad bar, and the BBQ ribs in particular.

Hope this helps--I don't think you can make a wrong decision on this one.

Red Rock has longer lines because a lot of retired locals from Summerlin go over there.
But it's definitely an OK buffet...GVR seems to be a little bit better...but if I was over there I'd choose Sunset Station, personally.

Does GVR still serve Dungeness Crab on their buffet?

I prefer GVR over RR. For a top notch view of the Vegas valley, go to the top (fourth floor) of the parking garage and proceed to the far north end of it.
