    Hi guys,

I was an MLife member for a while but after Harrah's Cherokee got table games, I began going there and have a few questions.

I have played about 11 hours there after two day trips (from CLT so I had to drive home because they seemingly never have rooms) at about $35-$40 per hand and have an RC Balance of 494 and tier score of 378. I tried this past time asking for a food comp and nothing. Additionally, it appears I always "need to play more" and thus am curious about a few things:
1.) Are CET property comps in Vegas as stingy as this for table game players?
2.) Would this qualify for any room offers at Harrah's Cherokee or CET properties in Vegas?- I ask this because I read that CET is better for room comps than MLife so that's why I'm curious.
    3.) Is my tier score/RC balance a bit low considering this play so far or is this par for the course; and do different CET properties rate/comp differently for the same play?;
    and finally
4.) Does Harrah's Cherokee ever comp rooms for table games players (as I don't play slots, solely blackjack) at a rate of $35-40 per hand for at least 5 hours per day per visit?

Thanks for any help guys as I greatly appreciate it

CET properties are notorious for comping slot players better than table game players. At least this is true at the Vegas properties. I'm not sure about local properties though.

I would think that after a while you would be able to get some comp nights in Vegas at some of the lower end properties with that play.

Maybe at the local if they get to know you and you become a regular the pit bosses will be more generous with comps.

You earned $4.94 in comps on your card. That will give you a little idea of where you stand with them. Other than rooms, most comps at CET come out of your RC's.

I have noticed on the Cherokee Facebook page that rooms are very difficult to get. So, with someone at your level of play, you will probably have trouble even booking a room at a discount. I assume you have checked the monthly booking calendar to see what comes up (without using any offer codes).

Possible? Sure - but based on what I am seeing, more probably that it will not happen, especially on a weekend.

(P.S. - you may get some misleading answers here if people miss the Cherokee reference - Probably would have been good to put that in the title)

with cet at your play you will get free rooms in vegas and little food at mlife in vegas you will get discounted lower tier rooms anda little more food so you need to way what you want.
i perferd the free rooms, thats my 2 cents

ps if you moved your play just up a bit to 50 a hand that would help a little.

Thanks guys. I called TR and evidently I have two free nights at the Rio.. in Vegas. As much as I prefer Vegas to Cherokee or other southeast places (where unfortunately I live), it's a bit pricey to fly to Vegas on short notice.

I am thinking about driving up one more time this weekend to Cherokee to see if anything happens because I was told if I visit three (3) times in three (3) months, that I will begin to receive offers- is this also true?

    Thanks again for the input.

I had heard that you only earn about a nickle(yes 5 cents) per hour per $5 bet at table games. Using this assumption that would work out pretty close to what the OP earned for his play.

Yes, it is truly sad what has become of the comps for the table games player at CET. I know that I won't play at their tables again unless they really change their ways ...

For table games at CET your RCs should accrue at the same rate as your TCs. So a little over 2 RCs/$1 theo or ~ 2%.

That is significantly less than MGM but fwiw CET offers a lot of other "free" ways and promos to earns RCs like multiplier days, free RC gifts, credit card, and shopping partners. I'm not sure how many people here use TR shopping, I never see it mentioned. But if you're buying something online you can go to TR shopping and if the retailer is on there just go to them via that site and you earn RCs. You can still use other discount codes too. Most are 1 RC per $1 spent but some are much higher and they run promos. I bought flowers through it once from FTD or somewhere and got like 15 RC per $1. It's worth checking out.

I'm heading back once more this weekend (which will be three times in about a month) so I guess I will see if the three times in three months stuff has any merit. I might start playing around $50 per hand as well to see if that does anything but based on what everyone is saying, I guess I midas well play table games at an MGM property once I can find one near me lol.

That's not always true, depending on the game and length of play you earn bonus RCs on top of the equivalent TCs.

"Additionally, you may earn extra Reward Credits throughout the day based on the type of game you are playing, your average bet, and your length of play. This extra earning rate varies depending on the day of the week and which property you visit. "

Register your email with them. They should send you a survey about your visit. I railed them on the survey about table play comps. They gave me an extra $100 in rewards for my feedback and said "they would pass on my evaluation" on how poorly they treat table players.

I will be certain to register my e-mail with them. I will be there tomorrow as well and provided I don't get killed in the first few hours, will hopefully play another 6-7 hours (likely at an average bet around 40). Hopefully this being my third time within 4 weeks I will get some offers for a stay at Cherokee for once and not solely Vegas CET properties(as much as I like Vegas, flying does indeed cost a bit lol).

Have you considered applying for the Total Rewards Visa? I applied and got one recently before a visit to Atlantic City and I received a free upgrade to Platinum membership (which meant no early check-in fees, no parking fees, and I got to skip the line at the buffet). Also, if you make $750 in purchases in the first three months, you get 10,000 RC as a bonus. And they are added to your Total Rewards account almost immediately instead of having to wait for the statement to cut. The TR Visa does not increase your TC, but it would help you earn comps a lot more quickly through the increased RC.

Yeah you're right. I always forget about those because I don't think I earn them on any game I play. I knew you got them if you play higher HA games but I didn't know they also depended on what day of the week and which property. But I guess that is very much a CET type of thing to do.

Classic CET...they hang this nebulous statement out there:

"Additionally, you may earn extra Reward Credits throughout the day based on the type of game you are playing, your average bet, and your length of play. This extra earning rate varies depending on the day of the week and which property you visit. "

    When they mean

"You earn extra Rewards Credits if you play black chips on double zero roulette on Tuesdays in January at Harrah's in Iowa, between 4 and 6 am."

On rooms comps at Cherokee, if it's like other markets, they have a small hotel and a ton of Diamonds and 7Stars that they offer a ton of room comps. For smaller fish, the norm is weekday offers only if anything. Also, CET is not good a real time comps for most players, no matter what they play. They like to comp on return visits. You won't really know where you stand at Cherokee until the casino's monthly cycle completes and they send out offers for the next month. You would probably have to play on pace to earn Diamond status for your game of choice to get a discretionary comp out of those guys.

In other words, CET is not MGM. In addtion, the other markets don't work like Vegas. Don't try to work Total Rewards like you did MLife. I don't know if you will ever be satisfied as a table player there but the core of the two programs are different and you have to be open to that.
