Just got back from a stay at Bally's. The construction across the street at Bills Gambling Hall is 24 hours a day and extremely loud. I was woken up at 2am by a very loud jackhammer. Request earplugs if you like to sleep.

Also I know pool season is winding down but I thought I would post a pic of a sign that says any CET hotel guests can use the pool. Not that you would want to unless you were staying at The Quad or Harrahs.

I'm also including a pic of the ferris wheel construction and the latest free shows for Diamond/7 Stars.

Thanks for the update. Kind of glad I chose against Ballys/Flamingo this trip

Back in May we were in the north tower facing Flamingo road overlooking The Stage Door bar on the 25th floor and during the day the construction noise from Bills was very noticeable up until 7:00 p.m. I think what was worse was every morning between 4 and 5 a.m. was the dumpster dropping behind The Stage Door, which at that time of day was pretty bad. I was talking to one of the people staying in a nearby room and they requested a move because of this noise.
We normally stay at Ballys and plan to this fall and before we get assigned a room I am requesting no room overlooking Flamingo road.

I stayed at Ballys on Sat night!! I didn't hear anything but I requested a room that was quiet and got it!! I did like the fact when I went to use the shower that the faucet was loose and shot water everywhere!

That was it for me ONLY stay at MGM properties now!!

Please note I only reserved my room for one night at Ballys and have been slowly going away from CET!!

    ;)
Yea, sorry about that, my friends and I always loosen our shower heads right before we leave so people decide to go elsewhere next trip. Then, when Bally's has lots of rooms available, we can get them dirt cheap .... :)

That's why i stay at Bally's, Caesars, Rio, etc. Sun-Fri only. The plumbing goes kaput on Saturdays. However, on Tuesdays, the TV goes kaput at Monte Carlo. Just a heads up for those planning to watch TV in a Monte Carlo room on Tuesdays.

Had a hair in my tub at Caesar's once. I think that was also a Tuesday. That's it...no more Tuesdays. I've heard enough.

Have a great time at Monte Carlo and Vegas in general. Please give an update on the Central Park progress at Monte Carlo/NYNY when you get back.

Thanx WR. I'll report back in on what's going on there. Pretty curious myself.

Or ask for a room away from Flamingo/LV Blvd. Even before construction on Bill's began, we had to move away from a room facing Flamingo.

Just checked in this morning. The main entrance from the strip is blocked off with the requisite construction fencing. The entrance to Diablo's is still intact. The right only turn is blocked off. There are only 2 ways to get past NYNY. one is the street side of bridge or thru the casino. I haven't gone north yet to see what the other side of MC looks like.

I just got back from a 4 night stay at Bally's, we had a junior suite on the 16th floor of the north tower on the flamingo side directly across from the construction area and the noise was not bad at all (and I am a light sleeper). Someone informed us that they do most of the construction during the night so that it causes less traffic congestion. It was my first stay at Bally's and I was extremely pleased with everything and would easily stay there again!

I stayed in the north tower and did not run across any type of construction at all other than in the mall downstairs where there were a few closed shops & removed kiosks. Food court had Johnny Rockets, Nathan's, Subway and 1 or 2 other places & a frozen yogurt shop coming soon. Nice clean seating area with some upholstered chairs & couches and 1 wall with a big grid of tv's. We sat near the hallway and did get a pretty good whiff of smoke coming from the sports book though.

I just read a TR on another board by someone who just got back from a stay at Bally's in a NT room (12th floor). She said the construction noise was noticeable when she was awake but didn't cause real sleeping issues. She also posted a picture of the new food court....it really looks nicely done and glad there is a Subway.

Having Subway will be a good thing for CET. I used to go, and have been going, to Subway at Fashion Show Mall, M & M's, and Monte Carlo after O'Shea's was relocated. I will be at Bally's in Nov.and having a quick bite to eat mid strip will be welcomed. I am a fanboy of Subway
