We are headed to Vegas in October for our anniversary and we usually try to see at least one show while there. I was debating on seeing, Million Dollar Quartet or Rock of Ages. After doing a bit more research, I read about Raiding the Rock Vault at LVH. I think my husband would really like this show. However, I'm trying to determine if it's more like a muscial/play or more like a concert? Do they actually tell a story or just get on stage and play?

Has anyone seen this show that can give me some insight?

Any help or comments would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

My dad saw it this weekend, they play the music of the 60's, 70's, 80's. Then he said in between there was some shtick. For example he said a guy comes up and talks about Vietnam, and the 60's. He said it was corny and Vegas-y. He said it was a great show!!

I guess a little of both. But it's not a play or anything. I think there is just a little storyline to tie it together.

We saw the show in early May and it is more of a concert. They have some dialog to tie the changes in music together. I would not hesitate to see it again.

I stayed at LVH early June, they seemed to be struggling to sell tickets for this,I saw people wandering the casino floor and foyer giving out 2 for 1 vouchers.

Great Show. A must see if you like the 60, 70. Actual musicians from the bands of that era. Sign up for the LVH players club and you can get free tickets. Great musicians

Keep an eye on Goldstar - if you are not a member sign up - got an email a couple of days ago and scored 2 pair of tickets for 29.00 per pair. Will give a review on the show when we get back - seeing it in September.

Saw it last week. Excellent show. One of the lead singers (the guy from Survivor) is fantastic.

    Just go see it.

Saw this last Sunday and really enjoyed it.
It is just like a gig really, small bit of story.

Was only half full theatre but very good musicians and the guy from survivor killed it, loved him.

Ditto Ditto Ditto. Saw this in July, gave it a full review in my TR, it was incredible. Soooo worth the ticket price, and more actually. Mickey Thomas from Starship was there the night I went and he was awesome. The lead singer from Survivor AND Tracy Guns killed it!

Deadeye, were your tickets valid for the same night that you signed up?
I was hoping to sign up for a card and see the show the same night.

    Thanks for the info deadeye!

I think I'll head to LVH a bit early then to sign up for a card and use the free slot play ($15 I think) hopefully on their full pay video poker (according to vpfree2).

and partake of their Rockin' 777 (free) slot tournament (top 5 winners get $100). (from 4-8 pm Tues-Wed-Thurs)

maybe check out the half price appies and margs at the Vince Neil Cantina

or try the 'Cool by the Pool' happy hour- Bogo drinks and cheap appies plus a DJ and some kind of 'draw' at 7:00pm

I just hope all this is still happening near Oct 8th ish.

If you had a player's club card at the Hilton and sign up at LVH, are you considered to be a new club member, eligible for free play and the ticket promotion? (If it's free, it's for me.)
