So my boyfriends father passed away on Friday, and we were debating canceling our trip all together. We ended up canceling our first leg, and keeping the last five days at Paris. I will edit my signature as soon as I am feeling better. Just got back from the funeral...:cry::cry::cry::cry:

I left it up to the BF if he still wanted to go. His dad had a very unexpected heart attack friday, and died that night. He was a HUGE sports fan, and earlier in the day had told the BF to put money on the 49ers to win the superbowl on our trip. He loved Vegas and was very excited for us to go. I think he decided to still go in memory of him.

I was in Vegas when my granddad a couple of years ago. He'd have dedicated his afterlife to haunting me if I'd gone home, so I concentrated on enjoying it. Hope you can do the same.

My wife's 43 year old daughter suddenly passed away several years ago and my wife was totally devastated. The pain was unreal. The only time she could get away from the pain was when we took a trip to Vegas. It didn't solve anything but did get her mind off of it a little.

We ended up driving to Vegas 7 weekends in a row and that gave us both a little break from reality. I say make the trip.
