Is there any way to transfer TR credits from one person to another? My husband is going next weekend and I was wondering if there is any way his unused TR credits could be put on my card after his trip is up so I can use them in Oct? I know that when we went in Feb, our TR credits were separate. Every time he wanted to pay with his TR card, he had to show ID so I don't think I'd be able to use his without him being present.
you already answered your own question. the only time comps can be transferred from one person to another is if you're a known player and have a good relationship with your host and he does you a favor.
If you are platinum or above. CET allows a transfer of 5000 credits up to twice a year. As to the process I don't know how it's done. You may both have to be present.
Well that's a NO for me...we have no status with CET at all. All of our TR credits come from SocialRewards.com (except for the small amount we build while we are there playing) -- we were able to eat over $120 worth of food last trip for free and it was great.
So, a non visitor, non player can get over $100 in stuff just by playing online? What are they thinking here? (disclaimer - I have opted out of playing those as I do not like sharing that much information - and I share LOTS of information with various online sites)
oh we play and we visit, you know that, just not at the levels most of you guys do. Therefore we have no status. I prefer to keep most of our play concentrated at MLife casinos only because I prefer those hotels over CETs. Even there, we are on the low end but I do appreciate any ECs I can squeeze out of my visit. But back to your question - you were being sarcastic right?
The person who has the extra rewards credits can go to any TR desk at any casino and ask to "gift" 5000 credits to another person. They do not need to know the person's card # - just name and address. It can be done 2 times within a calendar year.
If you are together in Vegas at the same time, the best advice would be to put everything on your room. At checkout then each of you can apply any RCs each of you have on your cards. So he could have charged $200 to the room, and you pay for it all. In situations where you are alone in Vegas, then it is like most have mentioned above. You can gift points if you are a certain level, but that is about it.
you can only gift rewards credits if you are PLATINUM OR HIGHER otherwise you cant gift any and she says she is not platinum. what weluvegas and her husband should do is get the visa card which is free and they will get platinum plus a 24 hour buffet pass and $100 in rewards credits after you make some purchases on the visa. then her husband can also gift the rewards credits to her. only the person gifting the rewards credits needs to be PLATINUM OR HIGHER the person getting the credits only needs an account not a high tier.
Sort of. I have been reading about people that go to Vegas, get free room. Get free meals, maybe even a show. BUT - put gamble almost nothing. Others gamble and drop a few hundred and get nothing for it. Just seems crazy they are giving away so much to non gamblers.
In CET's defense for Social Rewards, they are getting a lot and I mean A LOT of advertising and exposure from Social Rewards. They are basically paying $.25-.50 per social media post with a limit of 3 per day so you can only make approximately $1.50 a day depending on what you post. There are ways you can get a little more but not much. And once you get to the $50-60 plateau in a month you're pretty close to maxed out. Really it's not much different than myVegas, if anything it is better for CET because they are just paying for their ad posts to be plastered all over Facebook and Twitter. And it is visible, I know this because I have followers and friends complain to me about the posts all the time. However, I don't care because it's like I'd getting paid (albeit a small amount) to advertise for CET. Not to mention, I'd guess most of the Social Rewards members are gamblers of some level. You have to be a Total Rewards member and I don't know many TR members that don't gamble. So what if they give $100 in credit to you for 2-3 months of free advertising because you'll come to Vegas and spend that and probably more as well as gamble.
It would be worthwhile to call or email CET and get a definitive answer re the credits. Once I was told I could spend my husband's credits because we're linked as companion cards.
The Visa card is not free and may not be worth it to many people. If they choose to and get the card it is for one time only. The points you get for Platinum are bonus points for opening the account. Your credit score will go down, which can be borderline to many people, and perhaps being denied REAL credit cards in the future. If you want a free $100 meal fine, but it isn't "free". The casinos saw a great opportunity in offering the VISA, and suckers......er..i mean visitors, gobbled them up. But now, after realizing what they have done.......it may not have been such a great idea. Perhaps the OP is fine with the "rewards" of opening an account, and they're OK with being Platinum for 1 year.........but the bottom line is the points have to be earned by gambling, whether it be sooner or later, and that is something many of us have either learned the hard way or why we decided to decline the Visa beforehand. Many people say "don't play for comps"..........i say "don't play for a credit card issued by casinos". And don't forget.........you may become Platinum now and have the resort fee waived, but the casinos know that they'll get you in the long run. That's why there is a Visa card for casinos.........so more people spend money on THEIR card. I am a proud CET Gold card holder. I get free rooms at 60% of their Hotels Sun-Fri every week of the year. I get free rooms one week a month at Caesars which i used a couple of weeks ago. I get comped/partially comped rooms on weekends. I use cash most of the time and a CC when necessary.......some people think i'm frugal....but i'm actually responsible for my actions..........but apparently the country on the whole, hasn't learned what got us into this mess in the first place. Enjoy Vacationing in Vegas......i will once again in Nov. be staying for free at Bally's, and not worrying about what color card i happen to have.
if you have bad credit and you need to use your credit then you shouldnt open the card. i dont know other peoples situation so in your situation if getting a credit card hurts you then dont get it but dont say it isnt free because it is free for responsible adults who take care of there finances.
I have friends that play regular Facebook games a lot. I have unfriended them due to all the posts they make. Wonder how many of your friends have "unfriended you" since you do not care?
That would be a nice card to have, but don't want to add one more credit temptation to our list of debts. Maybe int he future. As far as social reward shares...you literally can't share every day because once you share something, there is an amount of time that has to go by before you can post again. I don't think I'm blasting my FB friends with ads just because it's not all the time. Maybe one per week. I'm finding that it's harder than it used to be. They used to give you $.50 per share, now its $.25 - so max $.75 per day IF you still have 3 "open" shares to use. Most of the time they are grayed out and it seems like forever before you can post again. Sitll a good program, so I do check every day and share what I can to get my pocket change. It still adds up especially if you go 6-9 months in between trips like we do. Hey, it buys our Starbucks!
Well I solely have a Facebook for myVegas and the only friends I have on there are friends I have met through myVegas fan pages on Facebook, so I frankly do not know the people and therefore do not care if they "un-friend" me. As for twitter, I just post during off-peak times so my followers do not have to be bothered with it as they are likely sleeping or at work. It has gotten me 6000 rewards credits or $60 to spend and I've only been signed up for about 3 weeks so I'll take it.
