Have these two restaurants always been at Bellagio or was LeCirque a larger restaurant at one time and they split that space up? We haven't stayed at Bellagio in quite some time but I just don't recall Circo being there....looks like a great itallian place. Also....I assume they have a bar inside the Circo restaurant?

Also for some of you Bellagio aficiando's...is Olives the only restaurant that actually has outdoor seating?

I can't say much for your other questions other than confirming that Le Cirque's been there since day 1. I can also say that Olives isn't the only place at Bellagio with outdoor seating. Prime Steakhouse has patio seating, and it's absolutely spectacular to have dinner out there. On the same level, Picasso expanded their outdoor patio to take full seating out there too. Unlike Olives' first come-first serve policy regarding their patio, you can try and specifically book the outdoor seating at Picasso and Prime by noting it on your reservation.

they've both always been there and they are owned by the same family. Le Cirque is French and Circo is Italian. they both have full bars and all of that.

    Prime has outdoor seating also.

Always enjoyed my meals every time I was there.
I was sorry to hear they are closing in the Spring.
Same family owns Sirio at Aria so I'll have to get my fix there.

Makes sense....when we stopped in Hyde it seemed nice but small.

Too bad though, Circo looks like a nice place for Italion within Bellagio.

Le Cirque is absolutely not closing, apparently the maccionis renewed their deal with the Bellagio for five more years.

Both Le Cirque and Circo have a bar inside, Le Cirque provides a superb service experience at the bar.

It seems that several people interviewing Mr. Maccione have heard him say that Circo will indeed be closing sometime in 2014 to make way for an expansion to the Hyde nightclub.

However, as the link above states, MGM and him have a good relationship, so they'll almost certainly offer a space at the Bellagio or another Hotel for either a new iteration of Circo or a different concept if he wants it.

According to ELV, Mario Maccioni, who's been running the family's operations in Vegas for the last 15 years, is in fact leaving town:

that's so true and so sad. when I first started going there, Le Cirque still required jackets for men. now even there they don't enforce a dress code anymore and you often see guys stroll in with a polo shirt, Dockers and sandals. Le Cirque has been my favorite stop in Vegas. it's the one place that I never skip when I'm in town no matter what. it's the site of my favorite meals of my life by far. I always see the same wait staff year after year, I know them, they know me even if it's been months since my last visit. I really hope that just because he's leaving town the quality won't change, but I know that MGM corporate management will manage to screw it up. that's sad, very sad.

Circo is my favorite of all the restaurants in the B. Their tasting menu was so delicious and the service top notch. We will continue to enjoy LeCirque( I hope) but there will be a soft spot in my heart for Circo.

Wow.....IMO, Bellagio was the last "soldier" that Steve Wynn created that MGM hadn't fu**ed up....and now they are finally piece by piece doing to Bellagio what they did to the Mirage.

They just keep making Wynn's job easier to be the top dog in Vegas. Too bad he's getting up there in years like the rest of us. They'll probably never be another Steve Wynn for Vegas and it could slowly slip into the mediocrity it was in the 80's.

Yea, I am a Steve Wynn fan...always have been and always will be. I know some people don't like him and sure he's been an ass at times but who hasn't that is successful in business? He usnderstands customer service and keeping a nice house and as somebody else on this board said..."he gets shit done".

I have been debating whether to change it up this trip and stay at Bellagio instead of Encore where we've been the last 5 years but now I'm glad we are. I'm going to enjoy the Bellagio for the beautiful hotel it is and enjoy both of these fine restaurants and then probably go back to Encore.

I think they already started this process with the latest remodel. looks almost identical to their MGM remodel and there's nothing left of the old-world Italian charm that used to ooze from the place. it's still in the casino, but that's gone downhill as well. my great host who had been there since the day they opened jumped ship to Aria earlier this year because the bosses were being dicks about everything. it used to be my favorite place in Vegas and now I literally have no reason to ever stay there again and likely won't anytime soon.

That is exactly how I felt when they destroyed the Mirage only that property used to ooze tropical paradise like you were in the carribean somewhere. Anybody here on the board that is old enough and lucky enough to have seen that hotel when it was new and walked into the place you will know what I am talking about and you also know how much it's changed. Some of the younger people never saw it and like it just fine. Not to disrespect anyone but as they say, in that case.....ignorance is bliss.

Now....it's just another dark casino and a resort without a soul. It will be sad to see Bellagio go down that same path.

Yes, Le Cirque is far superior to any wynncore restaurant now that Alex is closed.

While I used to agree with this, the nonsense of recent years -- the way he's let the nightclub scene take over the property and the entire existence of Andrea's, to give two examples -- makes me think that he may very well wind up messing up his properties, too. Really, we just have to hope that the nightclub scene starts to die down; I have absolutely no problem with nightclubs or EDM, but the business is booming so much right now that it just makes basic economic sense to do things like replace Fontana Lounge with Hyde.

I just hope they're not messing with Picasso.
