Hash House a go-go, anyone?

 

I've always eaten at the local's joint out on Sahara and have always had a good meal.

 

Eaten at the Sahara location several times. It was OK and the portions were indeed large, but I can't say it was a value breakfast.

The only reason we went there was out of state company saw the place on Rachel Ray or something similar on Food Network and decided that was a Vegas experience that they have to had.

IMO- pricey.

 

We ate at the one inside the Quad. Hubby had the huge ass pancake and I had some sort of portobello sandwich (I'm a vegetarian). Food was good, low priced -- but don't ask for any "special" modifications from the chef....we were flat out told that he doesn't like to do that. You get what you get and exactly how it is on the menu.

 

So if I asked for a burger without tomato he wouldn't do it? Or is it more along the line of if I asked for pepperjack cheese instead of cheddar on something he wouldn't do it?

 

I asked for a different kind of cheese (it came with goat, yuk, so I asked for cheddar) and the waiter told me, "uh, our chef doesn't do that but we can leave the cheese off completely. He's very particular"

So, prob not.

I'm thinking if u asked to leave the tomato off they'd prob tell you that it comes with it but you can take it off yourself. Haha

 

I've had breakfast a couple of times at the one in The Quad. Used a Restaurant.com GC both times without problems. The portions are ridiculous and I can't clean my plate. Food is good.

 

They had a BOGO offer on their Facebook page got a while. Only good on dinner but still a good deal

 

We went to the one in the plaza and didn't have that issue. My friend was in a fitness competition so she was on a very strict diet. They made her food exactly as she asked for.
On the other hand me and her husband pigged out on their fried chichen breakfast. She was not a big fan of us that morning. Food was good, but a little heavy, but then again it was fried chicken, eggs and potatos for breakfast. This was one of our rare occassions where we left without finishing our plates b/c of the huge portions.

 

Did the one on Sahara years ago and loved it.

 

I have eaten at the Quad one when it was still the IP. Thought it would be the same as the San Diego location since I'm from Southern California but the quality is not up to par. The serving sizes although huge were still smaller than what I was used to and the server informed us of a service charge for splitting an order and we would have to order a side item to avoid the charge. I recently ate at the M Resort location and they don't charge you for splitting. Afaik it's only the Quad location. Just something to be aware of.

 

I have eaten at the one off of Sahara. No one was in there for dinner at 7 pm. Had the place pretty much completely to ourselves. The waitress was really nice and very friendly. The food didn't live up to the hype in my opinion. I felt it was under seasoned. I had a sandwich made with Andy's Fried Chicken and hubby had Chicken Pot Pie which had a hard cracker crust instead of the traditional pie crust or puff pastry crust. He liked the filling but wished it had a traditional top. Someday I'd like to try it for breakfast which might be better.

 

we done HHAGG at the M and at IP. it was very good on each occasion. as mentioned earlier - the pancakes are bada** big and tasty.

Not worth it in the least. We've found their offerings to be nothing but massive portions of sub-standard grub. Eat just about anywhere else.

 

Great big giant portions of below average food is how we describe it. Downtown I would go to Dupars, on the strip Grand Lux and at M I would choose Studio B buffet. Just my opinion.

 

We ate at the one at the Quad and also the one at the M last time we were in Vegas. Loved the food at both but preferred the ambiance and service much better at the Quad one. We adored their chicken and waffles, especially the sage fried chicken. But everything else we sampled was good, too. They do warn you of the portion sizes and we did some judicious sharing here and there. I don't remember any kind of sharing charges. The first time we ate there we also had a restaurant.com certificate. They've opened a branch here in Orlando and we keep saying we're going to go try it -- it's clear across town so a bit of a drive.

 

If you can get a deal(coupon, groupon, ect..) then I think it is very worthwhile for breakfast. At regular price, I honestly would just do a buffet just because I like variety for breakfast rather than 1-3 massive pancakes.

I feel it won't be bad food, it just won't be amazing food. Exactly what I expect for that price.


Go there drunk and I bet it will be amazing though.

A waier say that I would tell him to go get the chef

We've eaten at the one at Quad (was IP then) a few times......breakfast & lunch. We thought the quality of food to be very good....I have had the blueberry / pecan pancakes....OMG - way too much but had a good vanilla taste. Hubby had the bananas foster French toast...he said "to die for". We do try to share because of the portion size - he will order something regular & I will go with a small, single item because we really hate wasting all that food.
