Thinking about Aria

Just came back from a one-night stay I booked via Virtuoso. I was upgraded from a Deluxe Room to a Deluxe City View room and was able to convert my $60 spa credit to a $60 resort credit. So, I had $85 resort credit, $50 breakfast credit, and a guaranteed 4PM late checkout... not too shabby for $175

 

Stayed at Bellagio our first 5 trips. It's nice but, as many have noted, in the afternoon and evenings it's a logjam of people. If I wanted to encounter that many people I'd just walk up/down the strip.

We've stayed at Aria our last two trips and enjoy the feel of the whole place.

So do some of you Bellagio experts think it will be just as jammed even in September? I'd think w all the stroller crowd you see in there that would slack off once school is back in session.

 

Yes. The lobby will always be a bottleneck here. I don't find the paths within the casino to be that crowded. Probably more than some casinos, but never rediculous to me. The lobby on the other hand is the only lobby I know of where people not staying at the hotel will sit there and look around. You also have everyone coming in just to go to the conservatory.

 

Thanks Numeno....I can deal with that part and pretty much know what you mean. Everytime we've been there I see a ton of people just gazing at the roof or taking pictures w/o a clue there are people trying to walk.

But....that's part of Vegas. I like the people for the most part...when we stay at Encore, sometimes I think man, this casino is too quiet so I head over to Wynn for a while and then after I've had enough of the larger crowd over there and we go back to Encore I think....man this casino is nice and quiet.:evillaugh

 

As stated earlier the lobby and conservatory are usually crowded from late morning on.
I do not like the spa tower for that reason as you are forced to go through the lobby to get to anywhere else.
The other main aisle that is often jammed is the one that leads from the lobby into the casino.
You need to use that aisle to get to the elevators, casino, pool,buffet etc.
Many times my commute was reduced to a slow shuffle following strollers,large groups,and just heavy traffic.
Fri-Sun are of course worse than the rest of the week.

 

Are mini fridges possible for my room in Aria?

 

We had one in our Sky Suite (plus a second one for all the mini-bar stuff).

Many places you can ask them to empty the mini-bar fridge for a fee.

We're getting "downgraded" to a Corner Suite this time -- apparently my play was not sufficient for the real deal (and I'll agree it was not)!

 

Oh. Maybe ill ask upon arrival. Save a few bucks. Its not even the cost really. More principle. But i suppose they are trying to make money. I just think $35 a night is over doing it. Maybe $35 for stay.

Oh well. Ice buckets i guess for my water and pop, juice lol or maybe use the sink.

You could always see if the "$20 trick" would land a fridge in your room. You never know!

During my last stay at Aria I asked for, and received, a bar fridge for my basic room at no charge. Of course, this was simultaneous with the $20 trick, so your YMMV.

 

Park in Bellagio?

Hi, just read a suggestion to park the car in Bellagio and walk to Aria? They seem to think it was easier and less hassle?

Just valet it.. it's free but you just have to tip. $3 bucks is def. worth the convenience.

 

Aww i just might do that. Say 3 arrivals and 3 departures during my stay. Just a guess. $18
