the one in the HL room is usually $300, but can be as low as $100 rarely and $500 or higher on busy weekends.

I've seen the ones on the main floor as low as $50 and as high as $300 (for the lowest minimum table, that is). More often than not I've been able to find one at $100.

Yes the one on the main floor is usually $50 or $100. It's in the higher limit pit near the high limit slots (close to where the lion progressive machine is). It's the main table I play there and I can only remember there being one table but might've been two. It's a pitch game.

What are the rules on the double deck games? Double any 2 cards, double after split, re-split, etc?

It's as good as any DD game you'll find in LV*: S17 and DAS. I don't think any DD games in Vegas allow you to re-split aces or surrender*.

*With the possible exception of M Resort, I believe (though I cannot personally confirm).

I believe you are correct in that I don't think that any DD game in Vegas will allow surrender, but I also think that there are about 6 DD games on the strip with the overall good rules that will allow you to RSA. Also, off strip most Station Casinos will allow RSA for the DD games, but most (I'm not sure if I want to say all) of those will hit the soft 17.

Sorry. I should have said that no S17 DD games allow RSA and surrender. But S17 with no RSA or surrender is still better for the player than H17 with RSA and surrender.

You're right statistically I'm sure, but the number of times I seem to pull another ace after splitting

Typically 50 or even 25 if it's slow enough.

    Yes.

    2-deck: H17 is -0.205, RSA is 0.053, LS is 0.071
    6-deck: H17 is -0.215, RSA is 0.069, LS is 0.095.

Surrender is more valuable for a card-counter as there are several additional surrenders you will make when the count is high.

I was a little surprised that the number for RSA didn't go up as much in 6-decks compared to 2-decks as you'd think the opportunities would be much more common, but there still is just 1 ace out of 13 cards.

Sounds good. Either way it's better than the $50 game at my local Horseshoe that doesn't allow you to resplit anything, DAS, or surrender. It is S17 though.
