Can any MLife desk give us our Mlife cards? Should we sign up for them online before we go?

Yes - you can get the MLife card at any MLife desk and it is used at all MGM properties (including ones outside of Vegas).

I do remember signing up for my card online before my first trip to Vegas, and I just showed my ID and picked my card up at the Bellagio Player's Desk when I arrived. If you do not want to sign up online first, it wouldn't take too long to get your card at the Players Desk anyway - they will just enter your info into the computer and print your card out.

If you sign up online you can pick up your cards at any desk - they don't actually preprint the cards or anything, you just become a number in the computer system and so any MLife booth can print those out for you.

As for signing up online: The MyVegas FAQ says:
"Loyalty points earned and rewards purchased through myVEGAS are independent of M life. However, at the time of redemption, you may be required to sign up for an M life account. Check the Reward Redemptions Instructions or your Reward Confirmation Email for details."

I've never redeemed for any rewards so don't know if they require a card for some/all/any of the rewards... but if you can get rewards without having to sign up for MLife then you are better off waiting until you are in Las Vegas.

Reason: signing up online doesn't save you any time or offer any added benefits (unless you need an MLife account for MyVegas). If you sign up online you won't be considered a new signup when you go to get your card (even though you may have never played before, never had an MLife card before, etc) but if you sign up in the casino you will be considered a new signup and therefore would get any "new signup bonus" if they have any - that could be anything from free slot play, some small gift, slot tournament entry, to something like "earn ___ points in your first 24 hours to get this hoodie for free" - it all just depends where you signup and what promotion(s) they are running.

Ok so got a question, I played the MyVegas slots the other day until I had 12k, and I put it all on a comped Circus Circus room, I think the redemption instructions were to sign up on MLife to redeem, but I can't see the Circus Circus room option when I go to book it, so do I need to call the hotel to book it with the redemption code they gave me or am I missing something here.

For Aria, there was a number to call with the code. If you go to rewards, all the way to the right is "My Purchases", click on that, you should see your reward and the instructions on how to redeem.

A good trick I found is to sign up online a head of time, and if the Mlife lines are long, go play a table game, show your ID, and they will make you a card and have it to you within a few hands.

Every hotel redemption I have seen had a phone number on it to call to make the reservation. Same with show tickets.

MLife shouldn't be required for Circus Circus since it is not actually within MLife. However I just go with whatever the redemption email said to do. If you have issues, I would contact MyVegas.

    MLife Desk & Buffet Lines

First trip to Vegas and trying to get a feel for how things will work and timing. How often do you encounter lines at the Mlife desks and buffets? And are we talking Disney World ride lines or Walmart checkout line.

If we have a lunch reward and we have a long wait in the Mlife line to get the comp and then a long line at the buffet then we could possibly lose out on redeeming the reward, right?

Unfortunately, there is no way to predict how long any of these lines are in advance - like anything else the lines are sometimes completely empty and other times it is a long wait. But no one can possibly tell you how long the line will be on the day you decide to go. I have never had much of a wait at the MLife desk at Bellagio, personally. The one thing I can say is that the MyVegas Buffet comp for the Bellagio is also a line pass so you will not be waiting on the regular long line. If you are redeeming for lunch, the lunch buffet lasts for several hours so unless you go super late you should not have any problem.
