any lobster specials anyone know of? don't want the lobster on the Rio buffet, been there once..not since. not gonna be there on a sunday so sterling brunch not an option. something like a steak and lobster would be fine, but not looking to spend a hundred on it. going in 2 weeks, Paris paris, haven't stayed there in a few years.

Just had a $38, 6oz. filet and 10-12 oz lobster tail at 2nd Street Grill at the Fremont on Saturday. The filet came with mushrooms, the dinner included a decent sized baked potato and dinner salad. The perfect amount of food, not to stuffed as I have a hard time NOT cleaning my plate.

The entire group was very pleasantly surprised by the food, service and atmosphere. Included in the group were a couple of high end wine people. I was surprised to hear how well they spoke of the experience.

Though I've yet to get down there to try it, many, many people report that the Chicken-Fried Lobster at Binion's Steakhouse is one of the best things they've ever eaten. Like I said, I yet to partake, but have heard it too many times to discount.

Striphouse at PH (thus far my favorite steakhouse on the Strip) had a steak and lobster special when I was there in July. Filet and tail for around $65 I believe. My sister in law got it and it was excellent. You may want to call ahead, as I don't know if this was daily, weekly, or what.

We've always had good food at 2nd Street Grill and also Redwood inside the Cal. Redwood has a 8oz tail & 8oz filet for $52. Includes the sides.

mjamesp: That is a fantastic price for that meal.

We can debate personal preferences until the cows come home. 777 doesn't have lobster, but we eat there all the time and enjoy it!

    Joe,

I think the above 777 reference was to the $7.77 steak and Lobster special at the Silver Sevens(formally Terrible's) and not the Brewpub at MSS.

Last time I was at Aria buffet, they bring a lobster tail out to your table, and you can get another one if you want.

Sorry 21 wins and Joe. Yes, I went to Terrible''s for the Sunday AYCE spaghetti on the website. It was gone, and they gave me the steak and lobster. The steak was very small, and the lobster should not have had that texture.

    The Palm

The Palm in the Forum Shops (near the casino entrance) is running a Lobster for 2 special ($80) through August 31. We did this a couple of years ago and it was very good.

Ugh.... one of my crew members went out for lobster this past Monday. Called in sick Tuesday. He and his friend are puking their guts out. He called me today to say he's heading for the doctor's office.

Probably has something to do with that lobster texture.....:vomit:

this sounds interesting. the old caesars buffet back in the late 90's used to give you a ticket and you would turn it in to get a lobster-if you wanted one. most lobster I ever ate in one setting was going there with a group of about 15-20 people, some didn't want their tickets, gave them to me, I ate either 5 or 6 lobsters that nite. I was younger then, don't know if I could do it now, ..... but I'd be willing to try :). how long ago was Aria doing this? this is new to me.

I have always got the steak and Australian Lobster and loved it at The Steak House in Circus Circus.

Here's a second for the $10.99 Lobster Special at the Cortez Room @ GC...
For the price, I ordered two...and I couldn't eat barley the first!
Usually, we pay $30 for the same size portions up here in Reno...
