I always stay at Mandalay Bay because I LOVE the views. I know they are going through a remodeling so I would like to try somewhere else. Any recommendations?? Looking at Bellagio, Aria, MGM. Any certain rooms that anyone can recommend??

Have not had the chance to stay at Bellagio but Aria, MGM or Mirage are good alternate choices.

I love the Aria because of the floor to ceiling windows and there is a great promo out there at moment (ARAUG13) which includes a daily $60 buffet credit.

I like Aria quite a bit. Bellagio has some rooms with amazing views, but those are an upgrade from the base rooms, so it can be a little hit-or-miss.

Just for the record, by the way, it's the THEhotel tower that's being renovated into a Delano, not the main Mandalay Bay tower or the casino floor.

MB has recently completed most if not all restaurants remodels. Casino has new carpet.

I would not skip there due to remodel issues from what I can see

I agree. The remodeling was not intrusive at all the last time I was there. If you want to just try somewhere else, go for it. If you love MB though, I wouldn't switch. Mandalay Bay has done a much better job hiding the mess vs most of the CET properties or even MGM Grand.

I like Aria the one time I stayed there. I had no complaints, although I'm not very demanding on services from a hotel either.

Go with what you think is best, don't think a remodel would hurt your stay too much or the casino would lose business which isn't going to happen. I'm stating at ballys comped but also one night at aria just to see how it is bc I have heard good things about it and from watching videos online the rooms are quite nice.

Aria is good but the view has sucked both of my stays. If you want to stay with MLife, Mirage is another good option with good beds. I would not stay at MGM, but I haven't since their remodel.

If you are not stuck with MLife, I would recommend the Palazzo, another good view at the other end of the strip. Encore must have amazing views as well but I have not stayed there.

Our first trip to Vegas met with some construction noise in the MGM but by the time we were settled in we had forgotten about it and didn't notice anything during our entire stay.

My husband tentatively booked us at the MC for our Sept trip but I'm thinking that with all their outside construction I'd rather try Aria or go back to MGM.

If you are looking for a place specifically due to the view I am thinking someone is spending too much time in their room and not enough gambling and drinking. :wink2:

There isn't really anything going on at Mandalay right now. I went last month. They updated the carpet already in the casino. Besides the new Japanese restaurant, which is open now. Everything else was up and running (the new night club is done as well, Red Square is open). Yeah, I think Delano is starting in November. Mandalay is my favorite! If that's an option price wise, that's usually my choice.

MGM is good. The new updated rooms are nice. That place is just a pain in the booty to get in and out of. Via taxi and via car. If it's a good deal go for it.

My favorite places right now are Trump (1 bedroom) and Vdara (City Corner Suite), you get so much more room for your money if you don't mind that they don't have a casino. (Vdara is close to a bunch of casinos and is a stones throw away from Aria)

Also while the rooms are nothing exciting at all. I always find Planet Hollywood extremely convenient. It's close to everything cool, and they have the best shopping. Every time I stay there I valet my car, and leave it there! Nice change from Mandalay where you always gotta get in a cab or drive to go anywhere. I've ended up there 3 times in the past year and it's worked out great.

If you aren't stuck with just Mlife properties then yes, Cosmo all the way. The view from an East Tower, north facing room terrace is one of the best!

    Consider Vdara.
