You are correct. You pay for the ability to sit down and the chance to get girls to your table. Also the ability to look down on people until they laugh at you the next day when your eating subway. Unless you have tons of money don't do it. Just my opinion. Get a nice buzz before you go out them have a couple of drinks at the club. Stay for a couple of hours then go gamble the money you saved haha

Better yet, skip the club altogether. Go to a regular bar/pub where you can, like, actually have a conversation with someone.

Oh that's no fun haha. I agree. I usually only go to a club once a trip now. Marquee is fun but in my mind clubs are a waste of money. They take 30 bucks before u get in and a bud light is 10-12 bucks. And u don't even get a free bowl of soup

To me clubs are no fun. Way overpriced, way overcrowded, and playing terrible "music" at jet engine decibel levels. Of course, that's just my opinion....to each his own.

You pay for the experience and to me it is more than worth it. I have only been to one club without bottle service and that was going on 4 years ago on my first trip to Vegas and will never do it again. We went to Tryst at the Wynn and paid $30 to get in the door after waiting in an hour and a half line, it was now 11:30. Waited in a 30 minute line for a $12 Skyy and Sprite. Had to stand shoulder to shoulder to drink my water down drink. Then waited in a another 30 minute line for another $12 cocktail, which I pounded and left. So $54 plus tip later, let's call it $60, I had a not so enjoyable 3 hours and 2 drinks.

Where as with bottle service, if you do your diligence can find deals, whether it be online or through hosts online, for buy one get one bottles for around $450-600 depending on the club and the poison. Add tax and gratuity you're looking at $600-800. This all includes entry to the club, walk in by the host, your own VIP table with seating, 2 bottles of booze and mixers. We usually have at least 4 guys so at $150-200 each we waste no time in lines and get a half a bottle of booze each.

Also, being in the VIP tables, you will have your own security/bouncer that will seek out any girls you would like and invite or walk them over to your table.

The other final point, when you are a group of guys, like my trips usually are, you often cannot get in the door without bottle service unless you pick some random girls up and make them part of your "group" because no club is gonna want a bunch of dudes unless you're spending bottle money.

So for me, bottle service is well worth it at $150-200 a night for the overall experience and ease of the night to not be stuck in lines and stuck standing shoulder to shoulder with everyone. After all time is money so I just plan $400-500 into my budget for a couple nights of bottle service and I haven't regretted it yet.

Not even when I was wasted and ordered another bottle of Absolut at $425! :drunk:

I like going, I like the atmosphere, but have only had bottle service once at PHo. I would not do it at that same casino again, but maybe at Marquee or XS.

It is hard for me to get past the idea of paying to buy over priced drinks when you can get them free while gambling at any poker bar.

Let me see if I understand this.....

You spend $600-$800 for a bottle of liquor so girls will come over to your table?

    Wow. Just wow.

It's not just the girls. You bypass the line, you get a table so you have a place to keep your stuff and sit down (good luck finding either of those things without one), you get to avoid the lines at the bar, etc.

Basically, you're paying for the chance to bypass all the things I hate about Las Vegas clubs. Personally, I still find it to be a complete ripoff, but it's not just the booze and the girls you're paying for.

No I spend $600-800 for the convenience of not waiting in a 1-3 hour line to get into a place, not wait in a 30 minute line for a drink and not have to stand shoulder to shoulder in a pack club, but to sit in my own section where I'm free to roam with my own space.

You get about 17 drinks out of a 750 ml bottle, so figure that at the normal club drink price of $12 plus a $1 tip so $13, thats $220 plus the $30 it cost to get in the door that's $250 right there. The other $350 for my time is worth it because time is invaluable, money you can always make more of!!

So to each their own, if you don't want to spend the money or can't spend the money that is you. I for one can and want to spend the money because my time is priceless and don't want to spend it in a 3 hour line and taking 30 minutes getting each drink.

PS - Also, it is for two bottles of liquor not one!

    +1 fugsworth!!

It is not for everyone, but if you enjoy the clubs and you value your time and space then it might be for you!

First of all there is no right answer. To each his own as its Vegas baby. But if ur sitting at a table at a club ur there for the wrong reason IMO. Just clear out a little space and get some game and go talk to a girl. They are human. It's still Vegas so do what u want I mean it's better than being back home with a 3 buck cover to a shitty club

For me personally, I don't just stay at my table. I do go to the dance floor and interact and dance. But it is nice to have your own space to retire to after a few songs and somewhere nice to bring a "friend" back to converse. They pack you in like sardines in those clubs so it's nice to be able to sit down and chat with some space.

But I will agree that it's better than a $3 cover at a shitty club at home. And it is "to each their own" as is everything in Vegas. Same as I would never put $100 in a lot machine while others would never fathom betting $25 a hand at blackjack! After all that's why we all love the city because we can do it whatever we want and can custom tailor our trips to what we enjoy!

I always love these "clubs" threads on this board. You'll never convince the old school gambler "types" that see plenty of fun and value in losing thousands at a craps or black-jack table that there's any value whatsoever in spending that kinda dough on bottle-service... conversely, many "clubbers" fail to see anything redeeming in shoving money down a rat-hole gambling! Two distinct types of Las Vegas patrons enjoying the town in two very different ways.

As you said... "to each hit or her own"!

Ha unfortunately for me I enjoy both spending money on bottle service in the club and throwing money down the "rat hole" at the craps or blackjack table.

First of all, heres info that might serve your purpose.

Tables service started about 15 years ago to help sell tables closer to dj, stage or live entertainment at a premium. People paid for it, so it grew into what it is today. It is expensive, why? Almost all of the clubs are managed by outside companies, the casinos don't run them, nor have anything to do with them, regardless of the self proclaimed vegas message board high rollers that get free service. These management companies are paying 10-40 million a year to have that club. there is your first part, second part is, how many fights do you see these days, very few, tons of security now. Then, bartenders. There are usually 3-8 bartenders at a bar, then 5-10 at the service bar. Cocktails ladies, there are 20-50 of them at most clubs. now, figure in hosts, managers., promoters and there is your answer on why it costs so much. people may not like to spend the money that it takes, but every single nightclubs tables are filled every weekend weather or not your there.

if your going to hit a club in vegas there are few ways to get in. First, you can get a table, bottle start at about 350 and average up to 750. Now add tax and gratuity now your minimum for one bottle is 425. Some clubs run specials during the weekdays where you can get a promo bottle and bottle of champagne or something for 700-1000. then you can get your name on the guestlist, which means you get in either for free or comped entry depending on the clubs. weekends you will not get both, weekdays, you can. There are a lot of companies that do crawls and no line no cover. the club crawls are crap cause they don't go to the hot clubs. no line no cover is what I do, basically it is when you get vip entry but basically your paying for the limo. Depending on the size group, how many guys, how many girls, what club and what night varies.

if your the kind of person who likes a place to go sit and relax, get your drink on without a mob of people, get a table. the clubs do not have places for you to sit unless you get a table. if you get entry, most places are $20-40 depending on group and club and then your paying $10-15 a drink. A typical bottle of alcohol is 28-30 shots, times that by 10 a shot, now you can see where it goes.

Great post. The hypocrisy of the anti-club people makes me chuckle. They can lose $250 playing roulette with a 4.5% house edge and enjoy their "free" drinks, but they scoff at the people who spend $250 per person to enjoy a great table at one of the best nightclubs in the world for an entire evening.

When viewed in a vacuum, losing $250 at the roulette table and spending $250 at a club to enjoy a bottle of booze you could "get for $25 back home" are both silly propositions. However, it must make folks happy, as there a ton of roulette tables at the casino and a ton of nightclubs in Vegas.

If you haven't experienced table service at a Vegas nightclub, why do those people chime in on these type of threads with negative feedback?? I have never stayed at the MGM Skylofts, which is precisely why I don't comment when someone asks for feedback on whether the Skylofts are worth the money.

My point is this, different strokes for different folks. Don't knock something if you have never experienced it. You never know...you might actually enjoy table service if you had the chance.

I feel like I should clarify-- I enjoy the hell out of bottle service, just not enough to pay for it. If the blackjack tables are kind to me or somebody else is paying, I'll go for it.

    tables

It is real funny how people comment how they do club crawls or they do entry to a club and they walk right in. Its not hard for ladies and mixed groups to get into a club. Its harder for groups of guys to get into top clubs on a fri or sat night. There is such a difference between cheapos and people that want to have a good time. ME, I don't like being in crowded space for 6+ hours, bumping into people and drinks flying all over you. I dress nice, I get tables. I see people day in and day out that want a cheap night and a night of bottle service. most of the people I see go the cheap way, next trip is table service both nights. the term 30k a year millionaire. For everyone that has been to a top club in vegas on fri or sat night, you always see that line with people not moving, that really is the cheap people. Guestlist are good, but there are easier and faster ways to get in. For all the cheapos, stand in line about 9pm, good chance you will get discount cover and go in fairly fast. For those of us that party before the party and plan on staying out till 4 am or later, we do it right.
