    Hello Everyone,

So I think I just signed up for this slot tournament. I booked a room at the Cal online on the BConnected website using this offer. I know I received a mailer for it, but I am pretty sure I threw it away.

When I booked, the BConnected website said that tournament registration was from 1-3pm on Thursday, July 25, and the tournament rounds will be on Friday and Saturday. If I do not arrive in Vegas until well after 3pm on Thursday, will I be unable to participate in the tournament since I will miss registration?

I'm guessing I won't have any problems, but could I potentially face any issues because I no longer have the mailer? I've never participated in a slot tournament before.

Is anybody else from the board going to be participating in this tournament or staying downtown from July 25th to 28th?

    Thanks. :wave2:

there has always been a late registration time frame the next morning for me.
However never done any with Cal or MSS. I have never needed my flyer as it was in the computer and I was on a printed list when I registered.
I have done CET, Venetain and Tropicana in Vegas.
Just ask if you can still sign up if you are too late for the offical time.

It should not be a problem that you don't have the mailer. I lose them all the time and I've never had an issue. As far as registration is concerned I would call MSS at 702-387-1896 and ask for the Bconnected. If you make them aware ahead of time they will be accommodating.

I've registered late several times and it is not a problem. You don't need the mailer, it's in the computer.

Just a fyi: If you have free play coming and enter the slot tournament, you can't use the free play. It's one or the other at Cal & MSS.

I usually skip the tournament and take the $100 FP.

Thanks, Joe. When I called, they said registering late wouldn't be a problem. Same about not needing the mailer.

I wish the offer included free play. I would gladly take that over mashing a button as fast as I can until I cramp up. :wiggle:

Darn I wish I had read this earlier this evening. I would have saved myself 5 minutes :). I booked our comped stay at MSS tonight and noticed the website said we had to present the mailer aft check in. I didn't ever remember needing to present one before or even seeing that message online, so I called. I thought it was crazy since I could see our offer online. I called anyway just to make certain and I was told we will be fine.

MSS needs to get with the times. Everything is computers and electronics nowadays. Requiring the hard copy mailer is so 20 years ago.

MSS is with the times. The mailer is not required, as the necessary info is indeed "in" the computer.

You mean finally they got with the program in 2013? Did they finally hire an IT staff, cheap beestards.

I was there last May and they asked specifically for the mailer to activate my free play. Wouldn't honor it without it.

craps1: I am sorry to hear of your disappointment with MSS. I have found Boyd to be one of the more technologically advanced/online friendly. The BConnected web site is solid, and they have a mobile app.

craps1, I would really appreciate it if you would refrain from the hate in this thread. Thank you.

    Boyd mobile technology

I know this is off topic for the thread, but I have to throw a bone to Boyd for the B Connected mobile app. Boyd is *far* ahead of everyone else in Vegas in terms of mobile app functionality for this Android user.

MGM apps are a joke; literally, they make me laugh. Caesar's is so horrible that it isn't even worth counting. Stations has none (in spite of getting onboard the mobile sports betting train).

Why casinos don't invest in this space is a mystery to me. It would represent a huge marketing advantage if leveraged correctly.

B Connected mobile isn't perfect, but it's pretty good. I can see offers, and book rooms, and track my point balance in real time. Way to go, Boyd!

No hate here, just stating facts. I do agree B connected website is VERY good. My point is with the mailer offers and needing to physically show them when every place allows electronic linkage.

Put away the pom poms already. geeze. You work for them?

Registering for the tournament late and without the mailer was not an issue at all. I went to the BConnected desk at MSS at about 10:15pm on Thursday night, and they had my registration packet available right there.

As usual, I worried about nothing.

I placed 11th, with just over 41,000 points. Places 7-30 each got $50, so I was very happy. Thanks for asking.

I hate to agree with craps...but at Boyd, if you're a table games player, their systems is waay out of date...its either immediately ask for a comp slip, or you're SOL.

However, the Boyd b-connected app is great.

I don't know; I play table games 60-70% and VP the rest and my play seems to be accurately tabulated. After reading some of these posts and the less than desired "treatment" from the casinos, it may have to do with the attitude / presentation of the players in the process of playing / registration. Just a thought.
