My husband and I are going to start trying for a baby when we get to Las Vegas. I want to ask them to do something special to our room to be extra romantic, but I don't know what I can ask for. Does anyone have any ideas? It might screw up my chance of getting an upgrade though?

Avoid the hot tub, it is an ancient Chinese method of contraception.

    Call the manager?

I was going to suggest calling the manager and asking if they have any special services that they could provide, such as rose petals on the bed, etc.

But you probably should not call and tell him/her that you're trying to get pregnant and ask what they can do to help.

I'm not sure why this is so funny. I was under the impression that I could pay concierge to do something like leave flowers or champagne or something. I thought that's what concierge was there for. If someone could tell me how to delete my post, that would be great. Sorry to have offended everyone here, I'll go back to lurking.

No need to go back to lurking. Sorry that your thread ran a little off the rails.

You can call the hotel and ask what they can do for you.

We haven't stayed at Monte Carlo, but the other higher-end MGM properties have room service menus which include items like champagne, chocolate dipped strawberries, wine and cheese trays, which some find "romantic". Of course the hotel concierge can arrange for flowers or other things (providing it is legal...) you desire.

    Enjoy your trip!

What do you want to ask for? Not sure what "romantic" means to you. I mean a bottle of champagne is easy.. just call room service. Flowers/petals on the bed can be arranged by the hotel, but yeah, you won't be able to ask for an upgrade if they've already set you up in a standard room.

You can ask for just about anything. It's whether or not they can provide it for you that is the question.

I don't think anyone was offended.Sorry if my lighthearted reply offended you.
Being serious,I have had champagne delivered several times.
I also know people that have had floral arrangements sent to a room or suite.
The concierge will do anything you ask for.
