    Hello,

For the past 6 years or so, as long as I have been a Total Rewards member, I have always been able to get free rooms at Flamingo, Bally's, Imperial Palace and Rio. I am a very low roller, mostly just put in $100 to $300 at most in any of their slot or video poker machines during the whole trip. I just don't like playing machines, I always lose. I just play blackjack or mini-baccarat and I never offer my card to be rated since even with those games I play so little. For the first few years I always thought this trip would probably be the last time I'm going to get offered free rooms since I hardly use the slot card, but I still keep getting free room offers when I check their website. One I stayed at Imperial Palace for 5 night comped and put maybe $20 into the slot machine, yet I still got offers for free rooms. I do spend a lot in their resturants though so don't really feel guilty about the free rooms. I also always lose but my bankroll is always small , like less than $500 for gambling. Just thought I'd let people know so they can take advantage. Granted it's the lower tier CET hotels but for people on a budget like me it great; I wouldn't be able to go as often if I had to pay for the rooms.

yes cet likes to keep there hotels full so even low rollers can get free rooms at the lower price hotels especialy on weekdays. the companys cost for comping you a room is almost the same as keeping it empty so they rather comp the room and hope you spend money in the hotel which like you said you do. give your total rewards card whenever you spend money at there restaurants to get the credit. that will help you with comps too,not just gambling. just enjoy it and dont play for comps.

Excellent points made by both of you

As jason said--sign up for & use casino cards! You never know what they might offer you (I agree that CET is the most generous on the strip).

As casinoboy said--don't play for comps.

BUT if you are going to play anyway, get those cards use them. We do--and haven't paid for a CET room in years.

I give them almost NO PLAY, yet I get these offers all year long. I rarely accept them, but I have. It's nice to have that option for the sake of using a card for 10 minutes on a trip.

Agree with all of the above. We go to Vegas at least twice a year and at least one other CET destination almost every year. Play slots and video poker - penny, nickels, quarters. Seldom pay for any rooms Sunday - Thursday and if I do, it is at a greatly reduced rate. Weekend rates are also greatly reduced and sometimes comped as well. We usually eat most of our meals at a CET place and charge meals and other purchases to our room if possible. We have also stayed at the Mirage, Wynn, Gold Coast, and Treasure Island. We will continue to stay at CET properties in the future.

Same here. Only play $5 blackjack and penny slots and I get many Monday-Thursday comps at CET's lower-end properties with decent rates on Friday and Saturday nights.

I'll be at the "lower tier" Caesars Palace in a couple of hours. I'm comped for the week . I am Gold and get free rooms at Caesars because loyalty pays........so it can be done at Caesars. You just have to know what to do.

Yes, HET/CET does offer rooms for not much play. A few years back, we were comped 5 nights at Ballys after signing up for a TR card 6 month prior (and playing about $25 total). It had been a couple years since I played and have not had any comp offers from them. However, a couple weeks ago, I stopped into PH and put a $20 in a machine to reset the 6 month expiration on my RC's (since they discontinued their credit card, I cannot use that anymore to keep the credits from expiring). Just playing that $20 is giving me sporadic offers for Quad, Harrah's, and Flamingo.

The big downfall is now that CET has welched on their no resort fees pledge, they are now charging the fees on comped rooms as well.

I must be doing something wrong

The last couple of years I played VP. My strategy is not about winning, but about stretching out the money while the "free" drinks come. I wouldn't say I'm slow playing, but certainly not playing as fast as some folks I've played next to. Most of the time, I can make a $20 last 2-3 hours. However, I haven't spent more than $100 out of pocket in CET casinos in each trip.

I don't receive any offers, whatsoever. In fact, when I login to TR, the prices of the hotels goes up compared to general to everybody offers.

    What am I missing?

Not that I want to chase comps, as I'm mostly just doing this to amuse myself in the middle of the night or when the wife is busy with something else.

In fact, this year the "offers" were so poor that I'm staying at MC. I'd just like an offer of something, whether I could use it or not.

When I hear about other micro rollers getting offers, it makes me wonder if people are correctly remembering the math or maybe my family once offended the family of CET.:Þ The latter wouldn't surprise me knowing my family.

The Quad usually had many $5 tables in the afternoon/early evening. After about 7pm, they went up to $10. This was in April.

IP/Quad I get rooms for $35 on certain days. I play little but they keep coming, can say I've never had any troubles with the rooms. Basic, clean and cheap. Only need a room to sleep in for a couple of hours, shower, shave, restroom and a other event. So I know what to expect at the IP/Quad. After I log in on My TR, I check my offers. Then I go the reservations page and check the same dates using the availability calendar for any deals they may have going. Usually the amount of comps or reduced rates are greater using the calendar than my offers.

Do you guys think that using a card somehow affects the payout at slots?

For some reason i do not trust the card thing.. Any explanation to make me get my card? I signed up online and i am a CET member but never picked up my card...

We're both very low rollers (micro roller? pico roller?) and we get very good rates at Flamingo/Ballys/Paris (Caesars sometime) and free rooms during the slow times like just before the holidays and the hot summer period.

CET is indeed very generous with room comps.

Where are the Harrah's comp rooms for October?

Where are the Harrah's comp rooms for October? I usually get 2 or 3 nights comp and pay for 1 or 2. Nothing for our dates in October and room rates are much higher than usual. I have a room booked under my TR and check my husband's daily, but nothing lower than mine. Flamingo would be my 2nd choice, but I'd do it for a much better room rate.

Is something going on in October? Our dates are 10/17-10/21 but rate calendar is pretty consistent with the rest of the month.

A lot of conventions are happening in October. That's why we were told rates were higher

Used to get decent comps from my play, .Now nothing compared to prior years. I had 3 nights comp at PH last Dec. I pissed $900 in losses at Gustov bartops and other CET games over the 3 days .I ate at all CET establishments ,(along with my friends). I'm lucky to get S-Th at the Quad now. Comps are so bad started MYVegas for the MGM comps now, staying at MC and Aria next trip and may have to switch my play to them now.

I've been a TR member since the mid 90s, we had a Harrahs here in STL, didn't really start gambling a lot till the early 2000s.

Pretty much stay at CE properties every trip, and always in Tunica Miss (they comp the crap outta you there)

My most recent trip there, last week at Quad, cost me $35 for Sat, and sun/mon was comped...total with taxes and the fees was $78. Not bad, but the pre fee cost a couple yrs ago would have been under $40 for 3-5 nights.

Oh well, still cheap and Harrahs/Quad/Ballys all have great locations

    I'm another tiny-roller... usually I budget to lose about $100 a day.

I just booked 5 December nights at the Flamingo... TR rate gave me 41/nt for Fri/Sat and 17/nt for Sun-Tue. I could wait and re-book once my normal two-free-night offer comes out next month, but it'll only save me 17 bucks (I'm splitting the room w/ someone). We're still paying the resort fee every night, so comp rooms at these low-end CET hotels don't really go as far as they used to. I guess I'm not complaining... still getting a pretty nice room mid-strip for about $120/person for five nights after resort fees. I'd pay at least that much for one night anywhere in Chicago.
