Ohhhh wow... just went thru that... it sucked... I never want to be someone who has bad mobility. I wore one for 4 weeks and am now going thru the 6 weeks of physical therapy. Really glad I went in though, as I'm one who thinks (hopes) things will fix themselves. The stretches I've learned have helped immensely!!!

    Good Luck!!!!

That's gotta be like wearing an oven on your leg. I recommend wrapping it in tinfoil to reflect the heat.

I feel your pain! I had an acute case of plantar fascitis and had to wear a similar contraption to bed every night for almost a year. It was made of plastic and did not breathe or flex in any way.:nono:

But Kelly just think, if you do have to wear it to Las Vegas, you have to go scare the crap out of the street entertainer that advertises "Kick me in the...." for $10. :D

Oh wow, what a pain in the butt. I'm sorry you have to wear that and I know just how much it sucks not being 100% when on vacation.

Here's hoping your are done with it by then!

Is it worst than the old plaster casts ?

I had those when I broke my ankle and after foot surgery for heel spurs .
I just kind of went with the program and toughed it out.

Wow - that doesn't sound fun at all. I'm very lucky that mine is "only" tendinitis, so I did almost a week of RICE (rest, ice, compress, elevate) on my own while waiting to see the Sports Medicine doc. He thinks the two weeks of immobilization along with horse-size doses of NSAIDs should do the trick. If not, though, I'll get the bonus round.
