I probably already know what most of the responses are going to be but I'm throwing this out there anyway... I am using some MyVegas lp's to get a comped room 8/24 to 8/25 (24th being the comped night). I've done some rough math and figuring to pay for Sunday night + tax + bs resort fee :grrr: there is about a $40 difference between the Aria Deluxe Room and the MGM Petite King.

I've stayed at the MGM in a New! Grand Queen and liked it a lot so I am familiar with the room/hotel. However, I've never stayed at the Aria and only walked through the casino once briefly. My real question is whether or not the $40 is worth staying at the Aria.

I can tell you that location on the strip is not that important as I don't mind walking anywhere. Like I said, I am sure a lot of people will say the Aria..

    All responses are welcome. Thanks.

Yes it is!! The petite kings aren't remodeled, and they are really small... so that vs Aria? I'd pick Aria! It's only $40 that isn't very much.

I agree. It is worth $40 more plus you get to try somewhere new for $40.

The above being said, it also pick Aria because its nicer that I can usually afford. You usually drop $40 on yardlong daiquiris anyway lol. IMHO

The only downside I would say to Aria is it's a 5 star hotel, so everything is 5 star...shopping, food... But Aria is also a great location, you can walk almost anywhere with ease.

I'd do Aria and to the post above....Aria is connected to Monte Carlo it is hardly a walk to cheap eats, a pretty decent fast food court, and cheap gambling. For me it is the perfect location....especially with a tram to Bellagio.

The Aria deluxe rooms are very modern and beautiful and the beds at Aria are like sleeping on a cloud. You would be better off at Aria.

Also, the walk through the MGM to the elevator banks is a long one...I have never stayed there but I have read many complaints about that walk on various Vegas message boards!

I agree with the comments above. Aria for the $40 difference would be nice. Their rooms are great. The bed is so comfy. My only complaint is their buffet is really not good for the price. We were comped two dinner and two breakfast buffets. We were both glad we didn't pay for either of them.

Thanks for all the input. I booked Aria for two nights. First night being comped, second night was $79 plus fee/tax, blah blah came to about $116. Not too shabby. I'm looking forward to staying at a new hotel (new to me anyway). I have a feeling the restaurants are expensive there but clearly I'm free to roam about the strip.
