I'm going out to Vegas in mid-August with my gf and am looking for a good steak restaurant in $150 range for both of us together. Any suggestions?

For what it's worth were staying at Aria but are willing to go anywhere in the south-mid strip.

    thanks.

Unless you're buying wine or a bunch of drinks, you can hit any number of great steak restaurants for that price. Craft is one of my favorites.

    I agree. 2 drinks @ $10/each, 2 entrees @ $40/each, 2 sides @ $10/each should run about $120 plus tax and tip. Seems very doable.

Thanks. Any recommedations on where to go. I've been to Craftsteak before and it was pretty good. I'm just looking to try a different restaurant.

If you liked Craftsteak, you could try the new Tom Collichio Heritage Steak at the Mirage. It's due to open sometime this summer.

You could always venture up to The Steakhouse at Circus Circus. Sure, it's Circus Circus, but it's supposed to be one of the better steakhouses in Las Vegas. And, you'll probably get a better deal there than anywhere else.

Fiance and I love Brand Steakhouse in Monte Carlo. The "Ultimate Steak" 40 oz steak for 2 is $95 and you get 1 side included. We did baked mac and cheese. We had 3 others with us so we added the 3 sides for $24 special (cream spinach, asparagus and loaded baked potato for her). They are $9 individually. Shrimp cocktail was $15 and her 2 specialty drinks were $16 each and with my diet cokes it was right around $170. No need for the dessert. Breaking it down for the 2 of you:

$95 for steak for 2 + 1 side that you can definitely share
$9 for 1 additional side that you can definitiely share
$15 for shrimp cocktail as an appetizer

    $119 total before drinks

    Just another option.

As you were staying at the Aria, you're so close to my favorite steakhouse Jean Georges. Ok... it's easy to spent 150$ just for one, but they have a early evening menu (5-7) for 69$ + tax & gratuity. A bit more with drinks, but I think it's worth it.

What about STK or The Palm? Are either of those worth trying?

Gallagher's at NYNY is a good option in your price range. I like it much better than Brand, at the Monte Carlo, and the prices are similar.

    circus

i would struggle to stay within $200 budget for 2 people as most places are $60+ for the steak alone not counting the sides-drinks-tip-you would have to be watching the price of everything and it would spoil your enjoyment.
the circus has a bad rep as a resort but their steakhouse has an excellent rep
and ambiance and their prices INCLUDE the sides.
so imho its either up your budget or visit the circus.
ill be visiting the circus steakhouse myself in sept.:wink2::beer:

You should check out P.J. Clarke's in the forum shops. They have a deal that's $99.00 for two people. You each get soup (clam chowder) or salad, then you split an entree of either a 40 oz. porterhouse or an 18 oz. delmonico steak that comes with 2 crab cakes, then you each get a dessert. It also comes with a bottle of wine.

We went there in April and it was excellent!

This is well worth it for the price, I did it last year. You can go during oyster happy hour and get a dozen oysters and still be under the $150 with tip. Just
One place I haven't tried yet but everyone raves about the cut of the week special at Charlie Palmers Steakhouse ($50 a person with the wine pairings)... the menu changes weekly so it might not be steak the week you are there.

I went to Tender at Luxor last week and it was great! We had a full meal, 2 salads, a filet mignon and a lobster, and 2 sides and it came to $149 before tax and tip. One of the few where you can have a full meal of your choice for about $150.

Also we went to Stripsteak at Mandalay Bay and they had a delicious prix fix meal. I think it was $63 a person? Something like that. Salads, several entree options and you could upgrade to a better steak for $10 more. Side of truffle mac & cheese to share and root beer floats with choc chip cookies for dessert. It was delicious! That's a really nice place, and if we had paid outright for our meal it would been double. (I'm guessing this menu changes, but it was delicious!)

Check the prix fix at all the steakhouses (you are interested in) they are a great deal. Yea, check the Charlie Palmer deal! We were going to go, but we didn't like the menu when we were there.
    http://www.charliepalmer.com/charlie-palmer-steak-las-vegas/menus/cut-of-the-week $48 and includes wine.

    Other Options

STK is actually expensive, was surprised by costs.

Aureole at MB - was a surprise find, Steak was amazing.

To keep at 150.00 the circus circus option is a good one.

If you like Prime Rib...Lawry's till best value in vegas
