    Day 1: 6/18 Fly to Vegas, M Buffet & Check-in @ The B, Late Night Freemont Street

    Day 1: 6/18 Fly to Vegas, M Buffet & Check-in @ The B, Downtown Freemont

    Flight:
Flight in from Allegiant through Bellingham to Las Vegas. Majority of the airport was under construction but at least we left and arrived on time. Flight was uneventful, didn't really expect much from Allegiant as they always say, you get what you pay for and with Allegiant you do get what you pay for (think no drinks, in flight entertainment, smaller seats, the odd Flight Attendant attitude, list goes on...) But what am I to say as Vegas is my final destination for the up coming epic bachelor party trip + degenerate gambling trip.

Arrived at the terminal, picked up luggage and straight to the rent a car center via the free blue shuttle.

    Rental Car:
Booked with Budget for a Mustang Convertible with fast track/rec (allows you to bypass line and go straight to pickup window with car waiting in your aisle). Both my wife and I agreed that it was a damn sweet car and a convertible was something that we had never driven so what better to cross one off the bucket list and reward ourselves before the big 3-0. Car rental was about $110 for 3 days and was worth every penny IMO.

    M Casino & Buffet:
Down came the soft top and off we went in 108F heat to the M Casino for it's buffet.

Now, I always loved the M Casino (although I haven't played there much). IMO it truly is a classy place (off strip and really meant for the locals). Lunch buffet there was $15.99 and included all you can drink wines & beefs. Their selection of food was top notch with over 100+ choices and different varieties. Lineup was insane though for a regular tuesday and we waited 1.5 hrs to get in.:eek::eek:

Left after the Buffet and as we knew we would be in a long trip we decided to stock up on some supplies. Didn't break out the GPS as I was just trying to wing it in Henderson, luckily we stumbled upon a Target and Krispy Kreme Donuts so we stocked up big time on bottled water, drinks and donuts for the next few days.

    Bellagio
Drove in the stang with top down to Bellagio, loved how the car revs and excelerate on the lower greats. Check-in was quite busy for a Tuesday afternoon. I was on offer here so proceeded to invited guest check-in line with ID, CC, $20 sandwhich and Gold Mlife Card

"Give the good old speech asking for comp upgrade to a lake view room" and the friendly lady said let me see what I could do....

She typed away on her computer, made a phone call, talked to her supervisor and came back and was able to offer us a Jr Suite in the Spa tower which I politely declined as I really wanted a lake view room. Some more attempts and she said she may have a room available but it's on a lower floor and that it's not ready but she said we could pre-check-in first and once it's ready she can text us and let us know where the room was.

Played some Paigow Poker and Slots in the mean time and waited a good 3 hours, no text or phone call. Went back to an available front desk agent and they mentioned they were "sold out" of the lake view room they had promised me and ended dumping me in some random room with a pool view. IMPRESSED I WAS NOT......YMMV with the $20 sandwhich and apparently being a Gold Tier Mlife member doesn't mean anything when it's EDC weekend and they claim the rooms are "sold out". NO DICE.....:grrr::grrr::grrr:

Went up to the room, quickly unpacked and decided neither of us were hungry. Had it had this point with how the Bellagio treated us and decided to not spend too much money or time here and off to Fremont Downtown we go!!!

    Fremont Downtown:
Now this is what Vegas is all about. I always make an effort to come here. I love the old Vegas vibe, cheap table minimums, random blokes on the street and all the vintage charm. Some parts were under construction as they were extending the Zip Line but overall love all the neon lights, street acts and vendors

I especially like The D (great vintage slots on the 2nd floor with the Sigma derby and coin out VP) and the party pit on the 1st floor is decent as well. Nothing to write home about as I was down a couple hundy pretty quick between VP, WOF Slot and the BJ tables in the pleasure pit. After the loss, took some sights and sounds on Fremont Street where they had a great rock alternative cover band rocking out some rage against the machine and nirvana.

It was pretty late and what better way to end the night than slurping down the Oxtail soup at The California.

Side story here, I came to Vegas last year just in time for when they have the Oxtail soup (it's a graveyard special starting at 11pm). Unfortunately that night they were undergoing a major cleanup and the restaurant was closed.

Luckily this time I finally had the chance to try the Oxtail soup and damn it's one stick to your bones meaty goody soupness that will cure any hangover! Highly recommended and I was one satisfied customer!

Day 2: Bellagio Pool, Buffet and O Show

Day 2: Bellagio Pool, Buffet and O Show

Ended up getting in pretty late last night so decided to take it easy on Day 2.

Somehow I woke up at 7am - must be all the visual stimulants and something about Vegas.

Started with the wife heading to the Bellagio Pool, which I bypassed to make my way straight to the Bellagio Casino. Played a few shoes of 6 deck BJ at $25 per hand and not much luck so blew a couple hundy pretty quickly.

One of the reasons why I was staying at the Bellagio because they gave me a pretty good offer and I was utilizing loyalty points from MyVegas for reward redemption's. Redeeming the rewards was pretty easy, just go to the Mlife desk and they will have you all sorted out. Ended up redeeming 1x Bellagio Buffet entrance and 2x Premium O Tickets.

Made it for the Buffet during the lunch and dinner crossover. The food during that night was underwhelming with the selection deteriorating from prior visits. The only good parts were the crab legs (always excellent), sides (mash, creamed spinach) and the creme brulees. All the other items were mediocre at best. They still had their breakfast selection (eggs, bacon, eggs benedict at 4:00pm) and what baffled me was how they lasted the breakfast, lunch and made it to the dinner service....

After all these eats, up to the room and passed out in a 2 hour food coma - must have been a long hot day yesterday. Woke up about 8 ish and decided to take a spin in our rent-a-mustang and up and down the strip we went.

The Vegas Strip is one and itself. I can guarantee each stroll will yield a different experience. Cruising in a mustang in the middle of the night and people watching is a one in it's own. Somehow we made it back just on time for our 10:00pm O Show from MyVegas. We redeemed the premium tickets and sat 3rd row from front in Section 102. These tickets had a retail value of approx $175 a piece and it felt pretty good to receive such a nice comp just by playing a Facebook game.

I had pretty high hopes for the O Show, as it was a show I've never seen before and it was something I always wanted to see since I've been going to Vegas. Interesting parts include the pre-show interaction, death defying stunts by the acrobats and all the water and diving components. I would rate this a solid choice among the Cirque De Soleil shows but still a close 2nd behind Le Reve. After this we were pretty beat so called it a night.

More to come: Day 3: Pre Bachelor Dinner and quest to Fremont Downtown.

Good start. Had to look up what EDC meant though.

Yeah it takes some getting use to the EDC

If you like the EDM music and you are in that age group that it's all for you. With that said I'm actually quite fond as I was in Vegas the last 2 years during EDC but have yet to have a chance to check-it out.

It might be on the list on my next visit!

Yeah I'm pretty bi-polar in the sense that I love all things about Vegas.

Staying at the B is great but Downtown is where all the cool folks go!

Day 3: Bellagio Pool, Miracle Mile Shops, Maestro Club, Golden Nugget, 4 Queens

Day 3: Bellagio Pool, Miracle Mile Shops, Maestro Club, Golden Nugget, 4 Queens

This was the day that all the Jack and Jills started arriving into town. For that we had planned group dinner at Maestro's later that evening.

As for the day it went a little bit like this...

Woke up bright and early at 8-9ish and decided to check out the Bellagio Pool with the wifey. Quick walk down the elevators and a right turn into the pool area. I've always walked passed the Bellagio Pool through the conservatory / tram end of Bellagio and it always make for good sights. However I was a bit underwhelmed with this Pool. It's fancy, large and all but it just wasn't my taste. Anyhow, ended up snoozing, getting some sun and dozing off. The selection of music at the Bellagio Pool, is what I would say for the older folks..... About 1.5 hour in, we noticed the water feature in the pool in front of us stopped working and we overhead a fellow guest next to us talking to her daugther on her cell phone that the Hotel has no power and she wasn't able to shower.

Tried to wait it for 1/2 hour but at that time we were pretty toasty and tired from the sun and decided to venture back into our room and unbeknownst to us found out that our wing of the Hotel also didn't have any power.

The power outage wasn't that bad as we still had access to the elevator, our rooms, just that there was no hot water for showers or neither did the electronic components work in the room. As we were drenched in sweat and greasy sunscreen we decided to soldier on and what better way than to cool off with a cold shower..... NOT :rolleyes2::rolleyes2: Got ready for the day and decided to head out to place a small sports bet, shopping and get lunch.

Placed the Miami Heat to win for the spread 5.5 for a small $40 at the Bellagio Sports Book which end of the night they covered. Then ventured off to the Miracle Mile Shops as the wifey was visiting Sephora to add to her arsenal of cosmetic collection. Great thing was that they had free WIFI - so all the suspecting husbands and boyfriends can go their their own thing while the SO shops away!

Was a tad hungry so ended up at Earl's Sandwhich at Planet Hollywood - this visit was the first of many in which I lost count as to how many times through the trip I visited this place with my wife or with my bachelor party buddies. It's a great place that's open 24hrs and the artisan sandwiches are highly recommended - anytime of the day!

It was late in the afternoon and we decided to take it easy and return to our room and get ready for the group Jack & Jill Dinner for later tonight.

    Maestro's Club @ City Center

Had dinner with both the Jack & Jill party to a group of 10+. All the food was superb. We ordered Large size Filet (to die for), Chillean Sea Bass, Garlic Mash Potatoes, Roasted Asparagus and sampled the lobster mash potatoes, creamed spinach and finished off with their signature butter cake. Little bit of tip, their sides are quite generous and each side is meant to be shared by 2-3 people. The butter cake is a must get as well. Prices were very reasonable given the level of service, location and the quality of the food. Attached are some pretty bad blurry pics which doesn't do it justice. With that said Maestro's is somewhere I would definitely return too!

The restaurant was pretty packed at this point, however most of the patron's attention was on the Game 7 Heat/Spurs as they had a few HD TV screens behind the bar.

We didn't really make any plans as a group after dinner as we were suppose to go clubbing as a group but that fell through pretty quickly as the both Jack and Jill wanted to split up and get a head start to each respective bachelor party. Our official start date was suppose to be on Friday, I guess that's what Vegas does to you when you are there!

For some odd reason the Jack's decided that they wanted to venture out to Old Downtown / Fremont St - as we knew this would be our only chance as all our plans were made for on/off strip.

The Jill's plan was to hit up Surrender Beach Club at Encore, but little did we know what was in stored for them......

    Jack's trip to Fremont
After dinner at Maestro's we returned to Jack's home base @PH/Elara. A quick spruce up and off to Downtown Fremont we went. Little did we know that it was early Thursday EDC week and Vegas was starting to get busy. We had about 6 in our party today and 1 cab wasn't going to cut it. Ended up getting our bellman to flag us an Private SUV for a cool $75 Fremont.

We ventured from the bottom of Fremont up to the Golden Nugget (it was packed and happening for a thursday night) and for some god for saken reason we decided to gamble there. Our group has a different mix of people who enjoy different games - slots, Paigow and Blackjack. We all came up bleeding after 1-2 hrs and decided it was time to switch joints. Quick walk across to Binion's and didn't really enjoy the scene there was it was rather dead and skipped on over to 4 Queens. Ended up staying here until 3:00am in the morning as our whole group was doing well here in Paigow and Blackjack which ended up a couple hundy on a positive note. However all good things usually come with the bad there's always the ying/yang

In the Yang we Hang as we found out what had happened to the Jill Bachelorette Party......

You know the saying goes what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. So, earlier in the evening during our group dinner (all guys + girls) the topic came up as to what "Guys" do in Vegas for a bachelor party. Simply put there's nothing to hide guys gamble, drink, smoke, fart and go to clubs and strip clubs (not in that order, however all these activities were planned for our bachelor party)

Ahh yes, strip clubs....the place where the sun dun shine at least that's how it always is as there's never ever any window in them.

Well the strip club topic came to be during dinner and many of the girls including the bacherlorette mentioned that they have never been to a strip club and would like the opportunity to visit one....confused2::confused2::confused2:

Us jacks tried to play it coil and decided to leave it up to them...

So little did we know when the Jills went to Surrender at Encore, they met up with a old high school male friend and they brought up the topic about wanting to visit a Las Vegas strip club. Him and his buddy were planning to visit one later and asked them to join along....

Most of them ended up going, virgin eyes opened, fantasies diminished, debauchery witnessed and disgusted they were....:vomit::vomit::vomit::vomit::vomit:

Doghouse all the Jacks were in.......

TBD as how we salvaged the bachelor party.

Sorry for the late response - gonna try to complete the TR today and keep it short.

    Day 3 Continued:
It was all late at night when we found out about the Jills Bachelorette party visiting Rhino's and it didn't go well with all the guys. Ended up getting in late in the morning and to my surprise the wife was not back in the room yet (she must of had too much fun at Rhino's - as she stumbled in right after me).

Ended up with a pretty big lecture on how she was grossly disgusted the whole with the SC ....:nono::nono::nono: (but hinted she learnt a move or two :ssst::ssst: At this point in time, all the guys were in damage control which involved some meaningful conversation and certain gift offerings :\ which ended us off the hook and bachelor plans as continued...

Day 4 - Moving to NYNY, Start of Bachelor Party, Pure @ Ceasar's

Normally don't stay at NYNY but they give me a pretty good offer with 3 nights free and $150 FP and luckily I found out I could use those dates for the EDC weekend (room nights were about $225+ per night for the weekend).

Now if you have been reading the trip report, I mentioned that my first couple days were pretty tame and the tail end of the trip, starting from Day 4 had more action. So I'm gonna try to report it as much as my memory will collect and as much as I'm allowed to share as for all Bachelor parties - we were sworn to a Gentlmen's code of conduct of "no stories"

Had early 11am move to NYNY which was pretty disappointing, hoping to get an early check-in but was told that the rooms will be available by 1-2pm. So with the spare time, I decided to find a way to change my FP into $$ and just roam around the NYNY casino to see if any games were payable.

I found one bank of 99.6% payback JOB by the check-in line but unfortunately they don't take player's card (so the FP option was no go). This bank of machines is recommended if you are dabbing into VP or just wanna kill come time and have the better payback machines. Spent about 1/2 and changed my FP into about $125, not bad. Roamed the casino a bit more and ended up playing the Deal of no deal community machine (which IMO is a pretty fun game but for payback and winning money out of it it's pretty hard).

Went around the casino some more and noticed a bank of $1 progressive VP machines for DDBP. By now the progressive was 7K which is pretty damned good considering the RF progressive starts at 4K. This meant it hasn't hit for awhile and what better way than to try my luck (more on this later).

Got to about 2-3ish and after numerous phone calls to the front desk, we were finally able to check-in to our room. Room was renovated overlooking the strip and roller coaster (hurrah....not :vomit:). Bathroom was a bit dated but what more can you do for a free room. Decided I was pretty from the first few days so ended up napping for a bit. Wife was with me the whole time and wasn't going to join the Jill's party today as she was feeling a bit under the weather. We decided to head down to the Greeenwhich village and ended up picking up some fish and chips which were pretty decent. Said my goodbye to her and left at around 6ish to meet up with the guys at their hotel as we had plans to go to Pure that night.

Made it to their hotel and found a bunch of the guys gambling away. Other guys were flying in tonight as today was day 1 of the bachelor party. Joined in and played a hr or 2. Nothing to write home about as ended up being up about a hundred. Good thing about their hotel was that the action was starting to come in, by this I meant the crowds were looking good and they had some good looking gogo dancers and pretty good music to boot so we were definitely feeling it and setting ourselves up for the night. Beat from gambling and needed some pre club food and made a quick stop at Earl's which was packed as always being the fact that it's dub smack in the middle of the strip, sandwhichs are good and prices cheap. After this we all took some downtime to get ready before heading to Pure.

Trip to Pure was awesome. Rode in style in some private Escalade limo which was hailed curbside from the guy's hotel. For Pure, one of the guys in our group organized and booked a table with bottle service from the VIP hosts. Cost was about 2.8K for the a couple of the largest goose with all the mixers and with the most absolute prime table overlooking the strip. Service staff there was excellent as we got in pretty quickly and their service was quite attentive throughout the whole night. Things got pretty fun as the night went by especially as we were able to equalize the sausage ratio with props to a certain MVP without our group. I ended up crashing and leaving early as I had one too many drinks and had to find my way back to my hotel. The main group ended up staying at Pure pretty late and then went on a gambling tear at CP.

    IMG_20130621_224241.jpg

So partly through my stumble back to NYNY, I came across the bank of $1 DDBP VP machines and wanted to try my luck. Put about 2 hundy's in and played for about 30mins and hit a quick quad and called it a night (no pic for this one was I was in a pretty dazzled state) but some good pics will come in Day 5 report. Overall up about 300 from the quads and a few other small hands.

Day 5 - VP quick quads, Bac, CC Steakhouse, Bachelor Party and More Gambling

Day 5 - VP, Bac, CC Steakhouse, Bachelor Party and More Gambling

This day gets pretty degenerate as I'm not sure how I would even explain it. Simply put it's a day filled with degenerate gambling, steakhouse and sc.

Woke up about 9am ish and was feel the affects from last night and decided I needed some chicken noodle soup. Luckily NYNY had the deli (which seems to serve great sandwhiches just not as good as Earl's) and home made chicken noodle soup +1. Quickly devoured a bowl and was off to scout the casino.

Went by the bank of VP machines and by now the progressive was at 7.2K. Put a couple hundy and and soon hit 2 quick quads.

    IMG_20130622_094322.jpg
    IMG_20130622_094407.jpg

Was pretty happy with the 2 quick hits cashed out and decided to walk around the casino to see if there are any other games that catches my eye. Not much so it was eventually back to the bank of machines. Tried my luck but was quickly down a couple hundred and decide to preserve my prior winnings as the trip was so long.

Met up with the guys at their hotel and the plan today was afternoon gambling, steakhouse dinner at CC and entertainment at Rhino's

Gambling at PH was pretty sweet as I was playing Baccarat the most time and hit a good table (only one table in the main pit). Played from the start of the shoe until 3/4 and hit some decent player/banker runs where the streaks were pretty consistent of 1 player, 3 banker, 1 player, 3 banker. Made it easy to find the pattern. Ended up close to 900 up, while there was other players in the table that was up about 6.5K. After the win, just took it easy until dinner at the Steakhouse at CC

Dinner at the Steakhouse at the CC was pretty sweet and recommended. This steakhouse was pretty much one of "the original" steakhouse and it contains all the old school vegas charm - White linens, dark wood paneling, green light chandeliers, leather banquettes and open pit wood flame grill. Their specials and entrees are pretty valued priced as it includes a potatoe of your choice and their string beans. A special petite filet set entree was about $38 and the Ribeye I got was about $50ish - pretty valued priced as any other steakhouse on the strip would be $65-100 easy for steak and sides.

After dinner, we had a few hours of downtown until the late night entertainment. The star of our bachelor party ended up getting a temp tattoo for shit and giggles. While all the other guys roamed around Circus Circus while we await for our ride. I haven't been to CC for about 10+ years now and imo it's still the same dumpy dive. Clientele seems to be for families and locals who enjoy that scene. None-the-less it was alright.

Ended up getting a free limo ride to Rhinos (for those who don't know, most SC's provide free rides if you have a bachelor party or big group). Plus side of things is you don't have to wait in line at the door or grease a bouncer and you pretty much get priority access. Downside is you gotta be prepared to spend, so that we did and we ended up getting a table for 12+ of us. Don't want to shed too much light as we are in a sworn secretcy mode, but fun was had by all and it was a night to remember. More strategy needed for the next trip IMO and I will leave it at that.

Day 6 - End of Bachelor Party & Gambling down the strip.

Day 6 - End of Bachelor Party, Gambling down the strip from Wynn/Encore to NYNY, Wazuzu's and more Earl's Sandwhich.

Day 6 morning was pretty much a continuation of Day 5 night. Let's just say we spent way too much time at Rhino's for our own good and all debauchery was witnessed and ultimately it was the grand finale and last hurrah for the guy's bachelor party as most of the guys were leaving today. Luckily for me I went back to the room to not much attrition or nuclear fallout from the wife so that was all good.

Day 6 was rather blurry as the core of the last few days had taken the toll on me. Ended up starting our day around noon time and what better way than to finish off Vegas with hotel hopping and a bit of gambling at each casino we visit.

Our strategy was to play a bit at each casino (slots) and putting our cards in to system to see if we can generate any new offers from the corresponding hotel/casino. So below was how it all went down

Wynn/Encore: About $100 in the slots between me and wife played Ghost buster, Video Poker, some chinese video slot and 3 credit pinball. Overall we were up $60 bucks in about 1/2 hour of play. Decided we were pretty hungry and wanted to try Wazuzu's at Encore for it's drunken noodles (it's featured on the must eat item show on food network and apparently it's Giada de laurtien's most fav thing to eat in Las Vegas). We tried that and tom yum gong with a side of rice. Nothing to write home about as the dishes were alright but I much prefer the food at Aria's Lemongrass. After lunch we went across to visit TI

TI: I haven't really been to TI since they added the Senor's Frogs so I decide to check it out. Nothing really special about the casino and hotel so it was pretty much a quick walkthrough and a visit to Mirage:

Mirage: I haven't been in the Mirage for over 10+ years. I still hear some good things about it and wanted to check it out. I could say the hotel entrance and along with the casino is quite dated. Decided we were pretty tired from walking down the strip so far and wanted to kill some time and did a bit of gambling here. Ended up playing blackjack through one shoe and was up a lil over a hundred and decided it was time to venture further down the strip. Next stop Ceasar's Palace.

    Ceasar's Palace:
Somewhere along our walk to Ceasar's Palace I found my blood brother, Alan

He was there with his pet tiger and taking on some sights.

Ended up walking through the strip entrance to the Forum shops and it was a pretty good mall as it's been some time just I walked through there. Might make CP a place to stay next time. Decided we were pretty hungry and walked passed a Cheesecake factory but was told it was about 45 minutes wait and decided to make the b-line for it and ended up at the CP casino instead. Scour the floor a bit and ended up sitting down at a single deck 6:5 table which resulted in up a hundy in a quick 30 mins. Spotting a trend - some quick gains decided it was time to dash and head to a new place. Off to Bellagio we went.

Bellagio: By now we visited a few casinos and our goal was pretty much, drop a 20 or a hundy at each different casino and see where it would take us. A few drinks was had and all was good. Played a 6 deck $25 shoe here and a quick 1 shoe resulted in a $175 profit so decided it was good to go (again quick cash and dash strategy) and moved on to the next stop down the strip.

Planet Hollywood: PH has been a 2nd home base for the trip as this was were the guy bachelor party stayed. By now I think I must have ate at Earls's Sandwhich for the 5th time in 5-6 days. I had the following through my trip and would rate it as follows.

    1. Chicken Chipotle Avocado Bacon Club
    2. Meatball
    3. Tuna Melt
    4. Earls Turkey Club
    5. Chicken jerk pineapple

It was a good decision to come here as I restocked and ate some sandwhich but it was a bad idea overall as I had overcome my previous Bac win and squandered that back to Harrahs :(. I'm hoping given my bet size (was betting on tilt) and hours played here it would warrant a room offer for my next trip. Felt bad for the other players on my table as there was a couple who brought it for 6K and lost it all during the time I was there as they were trying to break the player cycle but couldn't hit a bank. At this time it was nearly midnight and we decided to make it back to our home hotel at NYNY and that was when everything changed for the better.

Day 7: Last night and Royal Flush VP HIT!!!!

Day 7: Last night and Royal Flush VP HIT!!!! and leaving Las Veags

Making the trek and gambling down the strip felt good. There was definitely something in the air as I felt pretty lucky booking small wins at each of the casino.

Remember how I had my sight on the $1 DDBP progressive machines, well when I first saw them they were at about 7K and when I had returned to them my final night the progressive was now 7.7K. That is some serious play through the pass few days.

I told my wife that I felt good about it and wanted to try and play it if I can hit the progressive. A bit of background, I'm pure VP virgin as I never really play VP on my prior vegas trips. I'm more of a BJ, Bacc player and I'll play some paigow poker when I'm with my friends. I have however simulated VP at home when I'm bored. Something felt right and I was off on a mission.

A couple hundy and a few hours later, my first Royal Flush ever.....

The win felt good. Took some time for the attendant to come. The only disappointing part was the Royal happened at the end of my trip. Had it happened in the beginning ,the whole trip would be entirely different. Oh well...

Couldn't sleep after this and also had a 8:30am flight to catch. Flight was delayed but made it home all in one piece and pockets a little heavier. Looking forward to the next trip, whenever that will be.
