Short history: been going to Vegas at least 4 times per year since 1996, my play is 90% craps and 10% video poker (sometimes I will play 3-card poker if ahead). $90/shooter, play about 6-8 hours per day.Until about 1 year ago, had free rooms anytime I wanted at any CET hotel except Caesars.

Since then I have noticed the offers have declined, discounted rates but free rooms only during the week. It appears that the table game player is no longer valued by CET - has anyone else experienced this treatment? Do you know of any Players' Club that values the table player?

its well know and posted here often that cet favors slots players over tables.
    so your not alone.

mgm prop takes care of table players better.
    hope that helps some

I am also a craps player and switched to MGM a few years ago.
My play is valued more and the hotels are nicer.

Do you think that MGM takes better care of even the minimum table players? I usually play 3CP and crazy 4 at $10 per circle. Based on what I've read, it seems that MGM caters more towards higher level players than CET, regardless of slot or table.

$20-30 carny games gets you more theo than a $100 BJ player.

Are you speaking solely to MGM, or in general?

He means that the house edge is so much higher on the carnival games that you're generating more theo at $30 than you would be on blackjack (which has a very low house edge, I believe second only to craps pass line with odds, although I might have the two reversed, considering you're probably getting pretty good rules if you're betting black chips) at $100. That's just the math of the house edge, not how much the casino is valuing it. For either one you're looking at somewhere in the neighborhood of 0.5%, whereas 3 Card Poker is well upwards of 3% and Crazy 4 is, from my limited Google searching, around 5%.

In general, for God's sake...although there are some BJ games at Caesars Palace which have such horrendous rules they are closer to carny games than real blackjack...

Both games are a bit over 5% if you're playing equal amounts on the ante and bonus bet. I get what you're saying, but I'm questioning how CET and MGM value your bets.

They LOVE play on crazy, jackpot oriented table games which are more like slots in terms of house advantage. Certainly the $25 player at such a game
is clocking more theo per hour than a $100 player at a real BJ table. He can't play for long, though, because unless he hits a jackpot he loses very quickly.

cet can take care of table players just fine but not if you just play low advantage games like blackjack unless you play very high and a lot of hours. if you dont mind risking some money on slots when you go to a cet casino just play slots for maybe an hour each day also and you will get better comps tho you might lose too.

I know it doesn't seem this way but I think CET comps table players the same as MGM, but MGM may just nurture those relationships better. I think it was dankyone who calculated the TC earning rate at CET for BJ players was about 1.5 or 1.6 TCs per hour per average dollar bet. I started keeping close track and his numbers were spot on for me. MGM's numbers work out to the same thing, I got 15.25 TCs per hour per dollar average and their TCs are equivalent to 10 CET TCs. So it amounts to the same thing.

I know TCs doesn't equal comps but given the underlying metric used in these is actually theo it would imply they calculate theo equivalently and therefore comps equivalently. Which makes sense, it would be odd for two major gaming companies to calculate theo differently.

But CET seems bigger on nurturing machine play than anyone else. It doesn't mean the table player can't get decent comps, but I think a host relationship is more important there to handle it and as corporate philosophy it's probably less important than it is to MGM. I'd bet MLife will become more and more like Total Rewards over time, its already copied a bunch of the major parts.

    Thanks, Kickin.

While the prevailing wisdom certainly says that MGM comps table players better than CET, I have not necessarily found that to be true. For example, I usually get more food and beverage picked up at Caesars Palace than at Bellagio or Aria with similar play. CP also gives generous FP to table players ($500 or 1000 in my case) while I have not seen FP from MGM since 2011.

Here is my conclusion--MGM hosts are more forthcoming with letting you use your discretionary comps, and you get your full 40% of theo comped back to you routinely. CET hosts are tougher to drag any discretionary comps out of, and unless you were a big loser or have taken the time to develop a relationship you will have a difficult time getting what you deserve. Even then you sometimes have to negotiate a little bit and remind them that you understand the system and know what you are entitled to.
