My wife and I are heading to Vegas in August to celebrate our 10th anniversary. I am planning this as a surprise trip, so the pressure is all on me to make the plans.

One night, we will be seeing Boyz II Men at the Mirage, but I need a couple of other show ideas. I've looked at Peepshow (it'll be the last weekend for that show), Absinthe, and a ton of others.

So, with that said, what are the must-dos?

    Thanks!

If you two enjoy a good laugh I would recommend Carrot Top.

Last July myself(28) and my brother(35) took our mom for her 60th birthday to Las Vegas. She begged to see the Jersey Boys. One of the best shows I(we) have ever seen. Moved every minute of it....and thats coming from a then 28yr old.

I agree with Carrot Top. Very funny show and a great value. Check out Goldstar.com for deals.

What are must-dos? Hmmm... I think I should not answer this as BoyzIIMen would not be on my list at all.

    Hmmmmm

"Must-Do" is a subjective term, and with Greg gone we no longer have a show specialist far as I know.

If I had to pick three shows, I would choose Jersey Boys, Human Nature, and one of the Cirque shows. You may be too late to get good seats to Terry Fator, where seating matters more than it does at the others.

I would say Tony and Tina's wedding at Bally's if it is your anniversary.

The general concensus on can't miss shows are

Mystere' - been around 20 years for a reason

Carrot Top - trust us, you will leave a fan

Absinthe, - if you can at least tolerate some raunchy comedy.

I agree totally with the Carrot Top suggestion, hilarious show! I have been a fan of his for many years and saw him in April and he surely did NOT disappoint. There is not a bad seat in the house so if you can't get front rows you will still be just fine.

It would really help if you gave more of an idea what you're looking for and what you're like. Lots of great shows in vegas, but they are not all everyone's cup of tea.

Absinthe for example is excellent, but the people who don't like will really really not like it.
