Looking at coming out in November but being from the east coast would like to stay at a place where the pool will be open as we're looking to spend some time poolside relaxing. Past visits have been in May and August, so I'm sure weather will be a bit different. Where would you recommend for a group of late 20's guys? I've stayed at Bellagio and Bally's, and the other guys have been to Tropicana, Luxor and Mirage. We're pretty flexible on price, as I'm sure we could swing standard rooms anywhere in November.

MGM should have a pool open, as well.

Just bear in mind that it definitely does get chilly during fall/winter in Vegas; you're probably okay during the day in November, but mornings might not be great for hanging out outside.

Yes when we went last year MGM had one of the pools open and one of the large hot tubs as well. I believe it was the 2nd week of Nov. There were just a handful of people were there though. It wasn't too bad when sitting in the sun but sucked when there was a gust of wind.
Also, Golden nugget had their pool open as well.

We were there third week of October last year and had very good pool weather. It did start to dip in the late afternoon but plenty of sunshine during the day. Golden Nugget was very crowded but it was the Octoberfest weekend.

Consider too that "open" can mean very different things for Las Vegas pools during the Winter. Most significantly cut staff and services. And, even the larger casinos have been known to be spotty in using the pool heaters.

I was at Mirage in November last year and while the weather was pretty cool, it was still open. I usually visit Mirage in the summer when it's crowded, so it was odd to see it mainly empty with the life guards wearing hoodies!

I believe the pool is open year round, but not 100% sure

I was at Planet Hollywood last Thanksgiving and the pool was open but like most people said it was basically empty. I was in the pool for a little bit each day to help with the hangover though.

It's also when the casinos take the time to do maintenance on the pools. Using Mirage as an example, since it's been brought up here, I stayed there during December a few years back, and the pool area was totally closed for renovations; the rooms all had signs telling us that we could use the TI pools (this was before the Phil Ruffin era). I remember a similar thing happening with NY-NY not terribly long ago. So although most hotels should have a pool open, it's hard to say this far in advance for any particular resort.
