We were there this past April and just felt like the casino was just not that great. I found myself spending more time at the luxor and NyNy. So now I'm planning a trip for September and am torn between my mandalay offer of full room comp in a spa suite + resort credit and freeplay or MGM full room comp + resort credit and freeplay. Also for some reason don't really want to p off my host at Mandalay but I'm just not feeling it on the last few trips, however, I read about a casino renovation and was wondering if it was better now.

There have been a lot of hotel renovations, but I swung through there last weekend and didn't notice any significant changes to the casino

Thanks. My gut says MGM so I think that's what I'm going for.

A few new of the big Bally 32" and WMS games, but not much change other than that. I'm thinking of MGM myself next trip.

We were there over Memorial weekend and unlike past trips actually spent more time there than Luxor which has been good to us the last several trips, were it not for electronic Craps play as Luxor they would have been a complete bust. Like you we have comp offers from the three you list but this time our MB offer is the best of the three offers. BUT I am waiting to see what changes Morgan brings to THEHotel where we actually stay at before we book.

I was the opposite! I was there in March, staying at Luxor and I found myself spending more time in Mandalay Bay! I do like Mandalay's casino, it's nice and open. Also I found Luxor's casino to be small.. and didn't have much variety. But everyone has their own preferences.

MGM is great too, but it's so damn big, it's a huge pain getting around and in and out of there. I was going to stay there this weekend, but we switched to Mandalay Bay.

I was just there in April as well and thought it was about the same as it usually is, which I like. What I'm not sure about is how much, if at all, the nightclub is changing the scene, at least on weekends. My gut says probably not much, since it's off in the corner in the old Rumjungle space and where there's a separate entrance, but I haven't seen it myself.

I can say with total confidence that I have never selected which casino to play in based on the age or design of the carpet

Mandalay has been my home casino for the last few years, just about everyone working the floor knows me. I say change is good and you should take the offer at MGM.

Mandalay has reworked their casino floor, new carpet, new show, new chairs, and the machines are still as tight as a virgin on prom night.

I spent over a week there recently and it felt different then usual.

The cocktail service was absolutely horrendous, a few of the pit bosses pissed me off to the point that I got up and I had 1 dealer at the BJ table that wanted me to thank him when I finally made a 21 when I hit my 12 instead of busting like normal. Seriously, the guy said "you're welcome" about 4 times trying to get me to say "thank you" to him. After he said it the 4th time I exploded on him, told him to go fk himself and called the pit critter over who switched him out to a dead table and gave him a talking to.

I had so many problems and was so aggravated during my stay that I think I'm gonna be staying and playing at a different MGM property from now on. I'm bored with the same old rooms at THE hotel, I don't like to have to wait an hour and a half for a cocktail no matter what time of day it is, for some reason I can't seem to ever win at MB, and I'm just generally bored with the place.

Anyone have a host recommendation for me at either, NYNY, MGM, Aria or Mirage? I have a Noir card and lose every single trip.

I too can say that drink service is awful. My husband and I were just there over the 4th and played in their high limit room and we waited for an hour and a half for drinks. I talked to the pit boss who told me that she will be around soon. That was quite a while before she showed up.

Yes the carpet has been re-done. They moved alot of stuff around and frankly it was dead there.

That's another thing I love about the Hard Rock... you'll still lose your money, but you won't have to do it sober! They do a great job of keepin' the liquor flowin'
