I had a great time staying at Flamingo from 6-12 to 6-18. There was nothing this hotel wouldn't do to keep me happy. I had a go lux with strip view. On the 26th floor. I was concerned because of all the bad reviews. If you are expecting the Wynn...Encore...Bellagio..this is not the hotel for you.
The construction at what used to be Bill's was a non-issue. I was never woken up or kept up because of it.

The housekeeping was awesome. I had to chase them out of my room...We just wanted trash emptied and clean towels. Yes the carpet look nasty but never turned my brand-new socks black.

The adult pool was great...packed but never had to deal with rude people...it was a fun great vibe. Went to the kids pool. Never crowded and over taken by kids like at Mandalay Bay. Was able to have chairs and swim with no complaints.

Loved my bed...triple sheeted with a comforter in between....loved waking up and hitting the button to open my curtains...we could lay in BOTH of our beds and watch the Belliago fountains. Having a coffee maker and fridge was great.

So much more to come in my TR with lots of pictures. Don't doubt the Flamingo...it is worth it...

When I left Vegas it was over 100 degrees...when I landed in Milwaukee it was 61 degrees. Vegas heat was over 100...but with little to no humidity and the great winds we had while there...it was so nice. I can do the 100+ in Vegas....What sucks is the 89 degrees with the 70% humidity. I really need to move out of Wisconsin. Kinda funny to see the weather saying 98 in Vegas but real feel is 90. Not sure if I made sense or not.

Totally agree with you about the humidity. My dream is to move to Vegas. Back in 2007 it was our first stay in a GO room, we were on the 26th floor too, love that fountain view!

It's so hit or miss! Hard to believe we've all stayed at the same hotel haha. Overall I didn't have much of an issue there... the rooms were fine, once I was there and the hall and my room smelled. But the parking garage still makes me wanna puke LOL. Also I just don't like any of their food options...It's not a bad option, I'd just advise to not overpay for it.

I was also at the Flamingo from 6/19-6/27 in a Go Lux with View room. We also had daughter in same type of room and sister in a Go with View room. Everyone had a great time and Flamingo was GREAT! Not a bad word to say about it. Everything stated earlier is correct. I guess one negative would be that the second day they had a plumbing problem in the diamond lounge and had to relocate it. We had gone to the lounge the first day and they had fried shrimp and chicken fingers with some other munchies. Actually, it was not as bad as I had expected. Service was good and drinks cold. I was called yesterday by a Flamingo rep and they said it was still not repaired.

Thank you for the positive post of the hotel I'm staying in next week. First timer at the Flamingo. Got a comped Go deluxe, think it'll be difficult getting a strip view using the "trick"? The extreme triple digit heat concerns me but I guess it'll be nice & cool in the casino..lol. Thanks !

We've booked a standard Go Room the last three trips and the last two they've given us the strip view room for no charge, without us even asking. You could always ask, the worst they can do is say no. As stated earlier, as long as you don't think it's a 5-Star resort you should be fine. We stay there because we like the location, ease of access onto the strip and the fact that we hardly are ever in our room so we don't need to spend hundreds of dollars more just to get a nicer room. When we went earlier this year we paid around $170 for 4 nights in a Go Room (this was before they implemented a resort fee.)

We stayed at the Flamingo during our last trip and loved it. We're booked to stay there our next trip as well.

    Great value.

Great positive comments. Flamingo is great!! We bypass our comped rooms at Caesars, Paris and PH for the Flamingo every time. We don't need the pampering.....here to have fun and gamble.

I was there June 18th through the 23rd, and I could not agree more. The vide and energy of Flamingo was absolutely amazing. You got a decent room for a decent price, you're in the middle of the strip. If you want a place where people are friendly, fun and ready to have a great time, I highly suggest you stay at Flamingo.

If this place has one downfall, it's the sports book, which is shit. With that said, Caesars is right across the street. We're already booked for next year.

I'm booked at Bally's comped in Nov., but with all the changes at Bally's it's tempting to book Flamingo especially since i can get a Fab Deluxe Strip view comped and then maybe upgrade to a GO room. But what's holding me back is i have no resort fee at Bally's because i booked in Feb........oh well.

Stayed at the Flamingo many times over the years. I have a hard time thinking of anything bad. Oh yes! The parking garage! That's about it.

Glad to see all the positive posts. I'm actually on a flight to LV and the Flamingo right now! I've stayed at the Flamingo many, many times and choose to stay there even tho I'm also comped at Caesars, Paris, etc... I like to stay where I play and the Flamingo casino is my fave. Love love love the pina colada 'vacation' smell and enjoy the vibe.

I enjoy the GO rooms with the floor-to-ceiling windows and electronic drape controls. Also like the tv in the bathroom mirror. I always stay in a certain section on the 26th floor, just because of the housekeeper there! She always recognizes me, knocks on my door asking if I need extras of anything, and the room is always spotless. I truely appreciate people who take great pride in their work and she is a great example. She always makes me feel welcome and, since I spend nearly 200 nights in a hotel room each year, it's an extra touch I appreciate. I leave her $5 every day and you would think she won the lottery.

I also like that the lobby tower elevators drop me 10 yards from my fave vp machines. I'm lazy on vacation!!

We will be there first of next week. Dropped about 4 days off our Golden Nugget reservation when Flamingo sent a reduced rate offer. Made it worth the move and even with resort fees only a couple of dolalrs more per night. Wife actually uses the gym so it is a deal for us. We had a basic room in December and got put in a Strip view with a great view of the fountains. Can not beat the price for location and ease of walk to the Strip in minutes.
