Our room will have a Keurig maker. Does the $4 cost come from each use of the machine or from using the K-cup itself? I've done a search but did not see an answer. Any help appreciated!

Unless things have changed, it's from using the K-cup. The machines themselves don't have any way to keep track of whether it's been used, so they charge you for use of the K-cup the same way they do any other mini-bar product. So yes, you should be able to bring your own (I assume that's what you were getting at).

Which hotel is this, by the way? Though it's not a deal-breaker, considering how coffee-addicted I am, having a Keurig in the room would be a huge plus; I'd thought that Mandalay Bay had them, but the last couple trips proved me wrong.

$4 for each K-cup??!!!! I know room service prices are high, but that's outrageous.

I am staying at Monte Carlo in December and my confirmation states that the resort fee covers 2 daily Keurig coffee pods and 2 daily monte carlo waters. I am bringing more pods with me cuz with two of us...that just ain't gonna cut it LOL.

THEhotel has them (or did the last time I stayed there), I don't think Mandalay Bay does.

Yeah it's $4 for a cello-sealed package with a paper cup, K-Cup, stirrer, sugar and powdered creamer.

Bring your own K-Cups and mug if you want, but it also means you have to bring sugar and keep a small carton of milk on ice if you take it that way.

Same deal at Caesars, although I forget how much they charge.

I actually went out and bought one of the hotel models to bring with me because not every place has them and I hate waiting in line in Vegas, every transaction takes 10 minutes.

Just stayed 4nights at Bellagio. The tower resort rooms do not have any coffee maker at all.

The D downtown charges $2.50. Prices for real Keurig coffee mixes are rather high in the stores as well, but there are offbrand cups that go as cheaply as 50 cents. At $4 buying some or bringing makes $$ sense.

We stayed at Monte Carlo in Feb, had k-cup maker in the room. When the room was cleaned the maids stocked us up. We nicely stopped the lady who had cleaned previously and she offered us extra k- cups. Of course, we asked nicely and tipped generously.
I'm pretty sure Vdara has k- cup makers too.

Sometimes Keurigs work and sometimes they dont. I had one in the Monte Carlo that was a pain in the neck. To me they are a gimmick that will fade away quickly. With two people in a room, it seems one has to be extremely patient.

Overall you might as well just pay $5 for a starbucks.

I'm using one of these now: http://www.amazon.com/Bodum-Insulated-Stainless-Steel-0-45-Liter-15-Ounce/dp/B008TYX146

I just bring a small dry box with grounds, sugar, and powdered creamer and as long as I have hot water I'm good to go. Keurig machines are just hot water makers for me. Also, if those little single cup coffee packets are provided I can also rip two of those open, use the grounds and make an nice large dark cup instead of the weak stuff those machines make. I usually grab some half and half at the store and keep in ice but in a pinch you can also snag some of those small "don't need refrigeration" kind whenever you eat anywhere that keeps them on the table.

For a short trip you can probably just store the grounds and sugar inside the cup for travel.

I'd rather have them bring me a cup of fresh coffee, or go down to starbucks for that lol.

No they do not. Bellagio rooms have no coffee makers at all.
I don't remember seeing them in the suites either, but truthfully wasn't really looking.

Hotel Room Coffee never seems to taste good to me. I am not a starbucks guy, so my morning coffee comes from McDonalds or Earl of Sandwich if I dont eat in a restaurant or buffet. I dont usually drink alot of coffee in Vegas, I do like a tall glass of OJ in the morning, or a can of Red Bull.
