My friends and I for the longest time have been attending concerts, shows, etc. and "dressing up" to match the show. For instance few months ago we went to Bon Jovi and dressed like the band from the slippery when wet album, for new kids on the block we got decked out in early 90's boy band gear. It's just part of the experience for us and typically everyone else is asking us for pictures with them and enjoying it. My question is I guess would we be allowed in to rock of ages if we dressed as 80's rockers? From what you see on the streets it wouldn't be all that strange just worried about getting in dressed like that.

I can't think of why you would be worried or think that you couldn't get in...

I doubt it would be an issue, nobody really dresses up fancy for these things.

I'm going to see New Kids/98 Degrees/Boyz II Men next week, definitely rocking a handmade shirt, like i did when I was 14 LOL!

That is so great that you "dress" up for concerts! I would love to see something like at a venue. If I could convince my friends to do it, I would do it too. If you've never been denied entry to any other venue, then go for it and have a great time!

In Vegas, you can get away with that.

    Just don't think that's acceptable everywhere :)

Please don't post pictures of your group if you decide to go see Zumanity...

I think it's fun - and as long as the venue or your tickets don't specify dress codes, go for it. Even Zumanity :wink2:

There are some places where it would be taboo. Obviously you wouldn't go the London Philharmonic dressed as Beethoven or show up at some other tux and gown type of performance buffooned out, but any pop or rock show it is totally okay!

I go to lots of concerts and I LOVE the wackos. I probably met about 5 separate Angus Youngs at the AC/DC concert (the best being a father-son pair of Anguses . . . or would the plural be Angi?).

Really the only thing that would be off-limits would be adding anything to your get-ups that would be possibly taken as a security or safety concern. Spikes, weapons (yes, fake ones too), backpacks, etc. Concerts are for having a good time, and if getting into costume is fun for you, DO IT!!! Everyone around benefits from the experience too.

    ROCK ON!!!!
