    My Trip Report

Hey everyone, first time posting a trip report. I have enjoyed reading about everyones adventures I thought it was only fair that I shared mine.
This trip was with my brother (let's call him B). Me and B typically go to Vegas once a year around this time together, then I go with friends again in the fall.
My background- total Vegas degenerate...I drink smoke gamble eat then repeat. BJ player mostly but I will put $100 in a slot machine a couple times a day. I have stayed on the strip maybe 35 times now and downtown about 15. I like downtown and the strip equally, they are both totally different vibes.
Here's me and the most interesting man in the world (I think this was at Gold Coast)
Not sure if that pic posted or not...
Vdara- Really liked the Deluxe Suite...just their basic room but it was very nice. My only complaint was that the pull out sofa bed sucked but I guess they all do. B is older by a couple years so he gets the bed. The room was sorta separated by this partial wall so we each had our own tv and area.
We did a lot of walking around, went up the Eiffel Tower, went up the Stratosphere , did a couple rides, drank all day every day starting with Captains in the room, went to Gold Coast, Rio, Palms as a side trip. Also went downtown one night. El Cortez for 3:2 BJ was fun. Also met an ex girlfriends parents at Fremont and they treated us to a buffet. Had the Mirage Buffet one night. Wanted to try the new Gordon Ramsey Burger joint at PH one night but it was over an hour wait so ended up at Earl of Sandwich which is always good anyway.
Gambling- Since our home base was Vdara it would have been nice to play BJ at Aria at night. I like to sit at a $25 table and Aria only had a couple and they were the automatic continuous shufflers. I hate those. So we found ourselves at Monte Carlo every night playing BJ. 6 deck shoes, 3:2, Double after split allowed, etc. Cocktails were pretty fast which is always good. I held my own for the trip on BJ, sometimes won a few hundred, sometimes lost a few hundred. No major wins or losses to mention. Went back to Aria one night about 4am, B went to bed and I stuck $100 into a Wizard of Oz slot. Playing max bet I hit a bonus round and won $900, that was cool.
Well folks a lot of the trip was a blur and we did too much to mention as I am not the fast typer so gonna end it here. Thanks for reading.

My general goal is to leave without losing my shirt and having as much fun as possible. Sounds like you got it done. Congrats Nickman

Thanks for the report. Sounds like you packed a lot in and had a great time.

    I've got to ask though....

How come you picked a non-smoking, casino-less hotel?

I really dont need to smoke in the hotel room when in Vegas...spend very little time there anyway. My brother appreciates a non smoking room too.

Sounds like you had fun and didn't get beat up gambling. Did you play BJ at God Coast? They have a decent game there.
