I'm sure among the tons of people out there on VMB that there are other sports card and memorabilia collectors out there. Any time I travel for work I am always looking to find hobby shops and poke my head around and possibly buy some stuff. Figured I'd do the same on vacay.

Anybody been to any card shops in Vegas that they can recommend?

    Thanks!

I have not personally been here, but in addition to the Pawn Stars actual shop that will have stuff in it here is a link to the shop where their "expert friend" works as well

    http://www.ultimatesportscards.com/

it is right downtown in Neonopolis (I believe the "expert friend" toy guy has a shop in there as well)

Call the Clark County Jail and ask for OJ. He will hook you up with some contacts

There are a number of them around. In the Forum Shoppes and one at Mirage - where I have seen Pete Rose way too many times sitting there with no business.

The shops at Mandalay Bay also have memorabilia store. I have Charlie hustle there as well.

I've seen a lot of those shops in the nicer casinos, but unfortunately I'd have to hit a nice jackpot to purchase most of their stuff. Its fun to browse though.

    Anything away from the strip?

There is one at the Stardust, near the south entrance.

Sorry, I still can't let it go.

Yeah, thats pretty much going to be the main thing here: rent for a store in a place like The Forum Shops or just off a casino floor is going to be so high that either the store has to have a huge markup, move a lot of merchandise every day or deal only in higher end goods.

To find smaller things, cheaper items or stuff like a good selection of cards you will probably have to go off strip and in to the residential areas.

I don't have any suggestions other than to say you can use something like Google maps to find some of these places and see how far off The Strip they are and if you have a rental car or something then plot out a route to maybe go visit a few of them one day.

There was a Field of Dreams store in the Masquerade Room (the large playing area in back of Rio where Show in the Sky is) but I'm not sure it's still open.

    Go here: http://www.tristarsportsmemorabilia.com/

It's at the HO. I was there in May and found out that i have a few things i might consider selling when i go back in August. I'm originally from Boston and when i talked to the dude and described what i have his eyes lit up. Anyways, Joe Montana and the star of Hangover, Mike Tyson, are coming soon.
