Thanks guys. Yah I used to think why would anyone want to spend money on vegas, when you can use it to buy a nice tv or something. But after my first trip here, i was hooked.

Sin city, we got lucky with our rent, we pay 1400 a month including utilities for a two bedroom two bathroom house. (upstairs) also got free parking so its all good.

We're coming back to Vegas on July 3rd, catching the red eye, sol landing about 7am. Just kinda wondering how to manage our time without a room until 3pm. My fiance doesnt like to use public restrooms so it should be interesting.:confused2:

I like getting in early in the morning. Usually everything is still slow and not busy. We rent a car so traffic is easy too. Then you got the whole day in front of you. We're pretty tired but who cares, we're in Vegas! We usually stay on the strip so after we pick up our car we usually go straight up to Orleans to eat at the cafe. Then we play there for awhile then by 10 or 11 head to our hotel and check in. We usually stay at a Caesars property and have no problem checking in before 12.

Never stayed on the strip yet, but was tempted this time with the buffet of buffets offer.....but oh well we had comped rooms at main street station. Wonder how tired I'll get on that first day:confused2:

I would recommend trying to check in at MSS on arrival. Since it is a Wednesday morning, there would be a possibility of a room being available. If not, you can just leave your bags with the bell hop adjacent to the desk. We were lucky on the first of two trips this year.

    MSS! Great choice!

Several times, I have arrived at MSS between 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.

If I am really early, I check my bag with the bellhop, then go to the Garden Court Buffet, then play for a while.

I have always been able to get a room by about 9 a.m. So far, they have not snapped at me about the stated checkin time.

Gee....home I did not just jinx myself . I will be arriving in the lobby of MSS at about 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, 7/25. Sure hope they don't hire some snippy little twit who used to work at the Flamingo! Haha!

Hey Robert, I'm gonna try that, usually there is one person at the mss counter who is not so friendly but maybe she wont be working on the day we get there. Thanks for the info.
